What's the sudden backtracking about Dyche from those in the know?

Although its often a bit reactive, im finding X so reactionary this weekend. Dyche, having beat Liverpool away, Leeds at home, (albeit a poor) Malmo at home and a scruffy away win at Wolves is suddenly shite and will be lucky to last the season.

I dont know whether its an age thing but bloody hell

He will last the season, as needs must, but no way is he our manager next season.
1 dimensional coach, whose football isn’t going to take us where EM wants us to go. and the former youth team player etc, will soon wear off

Not saying you are wrong but you've never said previously you didn’t think Dyche was the right fit?
Also you are probably the most diplomatic voice on the entire forum, quite unlike you to be outspoken about a manager’s ability? Im mot having a go at you, just surprised at your take.

Yes Reds 73 is definitely the most optimistic on here. Did he rub you up the wrong way mate? Maybe Sean doesn't have the players he wants. Maybe we are over reacting to just a horrible performance. The hoofing was a bit championship on Sunday and Everton even though not really any different from us (other than Kieran Dewsbury-hall who is the box to box player we haven't had since Danilo), we did make them look very good.

Let's hope Ultrecht is a much better performance with resting MGW and Ando if we can.

About McAtee. He needs to get more robust. He has skillz naturally but he has the body of a 12 year old boy. Someone needs to rough him up in training and see if he can take it.

I’ve never been pro Dyche since his start.
I want him to do well, but reality is, EM has him in to do a job and keep us safe, after the absolute scrambles of Nuno self exploding and then the Ange disaster.

This is certainly no long term appointment

I agree it's an appointment to calm the fans with 2 legends coming back after the fans turned on the club during Ange's spell.

Plus Dyche's record of keeping teams up.

EM doesn’t settle for mediocre does he, if it wasn’t for him we’d be happy with mid table Championship finishes.

This is a means to an end.

Think Dyche gets pretty much a free pass for the next 3 months. But agree by March/ April time he needs to be showing he can work with this squad, improve individuals and show that he has more more than 1 tactic.

I agree, I think if he has us clear of relegation and does well in Europa he might get into that second year of his deal

All these anti Dyche comments are incredibly unfair on the bloke.

We've had 2 games a week since he came, he's not had a pre-season, he's had an injury list as long as his arm to deal with, and has taken over a set of players who had gone through two managers before him. Any yet, despite all that his prem record is P7, W3, D1, L3.

I was more following up on what I believe R73 and Sniffer are alluding to. Beyond just results there needs to be some sort of progression for both individual players and in our style of play. Just scraping mid table by playing route 1 and rolling over some swedish side in the UEFA isn’t enough.

Im optimistic that Sean can do that for what its worth. If others are sceptical I don’t think thats unreasonable given his CV.
