What were you expecting exactly in 30 days in the middle of the season? For the record we managed to sign Garner, Krovinovic and Murray.
Dont forget Knockaert. He had a positive effect when he came in, imo.
True.
...and we added Cafu to the permanent signing list. Restored him to his more natural position and saw a decent partnership with Garner forged.

Really?
Well lets see what the summer brings then?
Will Hughton look to his old campaigners again like Murray, Knockeart, Gosling and stick to keeping older players like Grabban, Colback ?
Modesto will struggle with the Brexit rules now.
Will Brazil get his input, he wanted Whiteman and we didnt get him and got Kronki instead, lets hope he doesnt bring in another Zach Clough and instead get more players like Garner?
We don't know that Brazil wanted Whiteman, merely that we showed an interest. You're just reading things between the lines that aren't necessarily there.
It was one of our most successful windows, we made two excellent loan signings that had a big impact, arguably the reason we have probably stayed up. We also avoided adding any more players on long contracts so that's a win too.
Agreed.

Brazil is not the manager Hughton is. Brazil is there to recommend player's Hughton will have the last say. Also perhaps Whiteman made it clear that he didn't want to sign for us.

I'm boringly old school. I wait until I see them confirmed as signings before caring.
I also believe in the age old mantra "if you keep signing players from the lower leagues, that's where you'll end up". Obviously the odd "gem" like Woany, but really struggling to think of the last time we signed a player from divisions below that has worked for us. Britt was it?
Then again the league above hasn't always been kind to us either......
Then there's the foreign market......
Just sign half Barnsley team as Widdow suggests probably not that bad an idea afterall.....

Barnsley punching well above their weight. If they miss out on promotion this season it would be no surprise to see them struggle again next season.

Every season, 'one' team comes out of nowhere to defy gravity. Barnsley won't escape gravity indefinitely.

You reckon there’s a chance with that Sniffer? He’s quite good apparently, quick with a decent delivery?

I think so yes. I've heard he will be made available for a loan move in the summer.

He cost the scousers nearly £12M so can only imagine it would be a loan. Really hasnt worked out for him there, he cant get a look in above Andy Robertson who has been bang average himself. Not sure the player would be too keen to drop down a level though but Oly history makes sense.
On another point I cannot fathom how we have ended up with 4 left backs yet all are unsuitable and we all agree we badly need another one.

To be fair Ribeiro was pretty good for the most part last year.
