Needs to be introduced sparingly, but a standing section behind one of the goals for (mostly younger) fans would be a good idea.

I was thinking ALL of the Lower Bridgford. It really does annoy me that we have to share the stand with the best acoustics for singing with the away fans, plus wasting a thousand or so seats due to segregation.

As I have said on a few occasions Tricky, thats a non starter. The lower Bridgford is the only place in the stadium capable of housing away fans and the only section the police will allow. When we build the new stand we will have to up the allocation of away fans, it is possible the whole stand once again reverts to away. Its one of the reasons I would prefer a new stadium to upgrading the CG.

It's time the police had less of a say in the matter, it's not 1985 anymore. Plus away fans have been allocated the lower tier of the Brian Clough Stand in the past. If there is a will there is a way.

Not that simple Sniff. Its something people dont want to hear because we want our fans behind both goals but the truth is the CG isnt built that way. The only place that away fans can be segregated on entry and exit is the Bridgford car park and if necessary away from the ground via Lady Bay bridge. Its the only way we would get the safety certificates.
Away fans had 2 small sections of the BC lower only when the Bridgford end was being built, similarly they are allowed T block I think if there is exceptional demand now.
The only option I think may be feasible is reconfiguring entry and exit to the Upper Bridgford so it is from the Car park and not Colwick Road. Then away fans have both upper and lower sections of the Bridgford Corner next to the BC. Would need a fair bit of work for that to happen though.

Agreed. We can have a cup final at Wembley with 35,000 scousers and 35,000 Mancs travelling down to London and sharing the ground but we can't find a way to put away fans in the Lower Tier BC

I agree with Sniff, if there is a will there is a way.

Wembley was designed to have large numbers of opposing fans and has facilities to segregate them accordingly. The CG was not designed that way. Potentially you could clear out the BC car park maybe, but still leaves the problem of entrances and exits for both tiers being shared. On top of which there is the issue of away fans below the executive boxes. The prawn sandwich brigade dont particularly like drunken scousers banging on their glass and ruining their afternoon nap.
I say again the only facility for away fans is the LB unless there are some significant alterations to the ground and its surrounds.

I think we'll be fine on the away allocations (below). You're right though on the segregation. When the club put homes fans in the LB they looked at shifting away fans into the BC but was a non-starter. Hopefully, if we get around to extending the Bridgford & sorting the roof, we can accomodate 2k away fans in one of the corners.
