I'm not having a go but what have people seen in Chema?

He's hardly played any games and when he got his chance recently he was dropped for Figs. So why is he so highly rated on here?

Everyone, simply because they've earned the right. After 20 years I hope we value the lads who finally get us there, whether this year, next or whenever.

Yes we'll need to strengthen the squad, but the only "deadwood" should be players not getting a look in now, or who want to stay in the Champ themselves for whatever reason

If we went up I'd look to add young quality who will blossom into Prem players (like Cash), and who can get us back up from theChamp at first attempt if we went back down.

Basically very similar strategy to what Sheff U have done.

I haven't seen much room for sentiment in Marinakis' reign so far.

Getting promoted. That's still a herculean 'if' right now. Forest are still straining to emerge out of the tidal forces of entropy.

Each game as it comes. I'm expecting nothing.

Obviously it depends on how the rest of the season goes, and we have some relatively young and developing players, so if we go up then some of those players have probably continued to develop.

I’d say our keeper and defence could be fine. The main area for improvement we have is for attacking players, but what extra we’d need for the Premier League will depend on what we bring in in January. I’d love to fill those positions with someone we’d be happy to go into the Premier League with like a Bowen, but I know it’s unlikely. But that’s also why I think this is more a question for March than now.

On the plus side, I wouldn’t expect we’ll need a whole new team though, based on some good players, and ones still developing / acclimatising, but also because team spirit is important and keeping together the nucleus of the team that gets us promoted that have good team spirit and identity will also be important.

Samba, Cash, Ribiero, Worrall, Sow, Silva, Lolley are all capable in my book.
Grabban, Carvalho, Ameobi Chema and Figs all would be decent to have around the squad.

Difficult to know who can step up a level. If anyone had told me a couple years ago that David McGoldrick would become an established premier league player I would have laughed at them.
Samba Worrall and Carvalho for me. Not sure too many others.
