I would.  That's a good idea.  It would be a a good time to bring Yacob in from the cold.

It's part of Colback's job or any CM is going to going to pick up yellows with the amount of tackles they're expected to put in.  Sooner or later you're going to run into a ref' that doesn't have a clue.  It's part of the job description to pick up yellows.  However, unnecessary ones?

He has let us down from a clutch of unnecessary bookings.  Frustration, sure.  But I'd expect more from our player of the season.  To be fair, he's been very consistent over the season, play wise.  But unnecessary bookings?  eg.  Picking up a stupid one in the 90th minute against Stoke, was it?

They end up costing points and have done this season.  Certainly more than the 3 points that would see us 'in' the play offs.

Discipline applies to all players.  Whether it's application on the training pitch or a match setting.  That applies to Colback as much as it does Car'...or Jack.

And at times this season the 'attitude' of different players at different times has cost Forest points.  Discipline comes in many forms.  And pointless bookings...well...are pointless and end up with Forest being pointless at times.

SA.

Sure the manager, Mr. Walkout typified the wrong attitude in December. And the players seemed lost in that month or the dip in form coincided with that 'dark cloud.'

Colback was one of the players, for me, that kept going.

SA.

Yes very good at what he does, however I think why over spend when we have yacob who does a similar job.

RE: Jack Colback - Alf Garnett - 06-04-2019

For me we should have two basic rules.

Don't break the bank for anyone (Colback) and don't take risks on players with injury records (Byram).

RE: Jack Colback - ac_vodka - 06-04-2019

For me - slightly over rated - does a solid job and puts the effort in with out being spectacular - is it worth 50/60k a week for him ? I think not.

RE: Jack Colback - Jasper Scarrott - 17-04-2019

The cynic in me tells me that Colback will pick up his 15th yellow card of the season on friday so that he can conveniently miss the last 3 games of the season.

RE: Jack Colback - Alf - 17-04-2019

One of the players of the past 2 seasons for me. If we're serious about going up his signing is a no-brainer.

Understand we have to consider fees & wages of course, but I doubt we'll get better for less.

That is Colback finished then.

Will he be back...doubtful.

We shouldn't be paying massive wages for someone who misses so many games due to poor discipline.

I agree SR. Money can be better spent elsewhere. To be honest I prefer Yacob anyway.

RE: Jack Colback - Fumanchew - 20-04-2019

I can only assume the reason he’s played left back last couple of games is because MO’N knows he won’t be back next season or at the very least slim chance he will be, and so wants to try and work out if his midfield partnership is good enough for next season.
