Colback picked up his 5th booking of the season against the SCUM
on Saturday so does he miss the cup game against Burton or will
it be Saturday against Sheff. Utd?

I believe yellow cards are now competition specific, so 5 yellows in a league match means suspension for the next league game. ( I thinks it's 2 yellows in a cup match to miss the next cup game)

^ Correct ^

He is available to ply tonight although I very much doubt that he will.

He is suspended for the game with Sheffield United on saturday.

That's a big loss. I know not everyone will agree, but I think he's been one of our best players this season.

He's been doing very well, much better than last season when he came on loan.

I can now see what all the fuss was about (last season I couldn't see it).

Thanks for clearing that up DM. I thought that was the situation but wasn't really sure.

I rooted through various sites but couldn't see anything until this morning where I found
it on 'Nottinghamshire Live News' It says...................

Midfielder Jack Colback will be available to Forest, though he will miss Saturday’s crunch Championship clash with Sheffield United after picking up five yellow cards.

So he cannot play on Saturday so I would play him tonight.

We should put a strong team out, we want to progress to the Quarter Finals.

Agree entirely but I've an idea he will stick Bridcutt in to give him
some game time and prepare him for Saturday.

Not exactly being a Bridcutt fan I would blood Yakob but that's only
my opinion.

With Colback `rested` this coming Saturday, I see him playing tonight...the question mark will be...will he be partnered by Watson (his likely replacement on Saturday), or playing one of Jacob or Bridcutt (dont think that we will see Yates again this year-until January at least)...
Gueddy will definetly be rested for Saturday ...who could barely walk on Saturday ...from the 80th minute onwards..

I thought Colback really showed what he brings to the party against Leeds on Saturday. Slotted in, won the ball back, kept the play moving. Such a vital role to how Karanka likes his team to play. Every time one of the full backs went forward, Colback held his position to make sure we weren't overrun.

Hope we can agree a deal to sign him permanently after the end of the season.
