semedo doesnt do much at all. would nearly prefer johnson coming on instead at this stage.
i cannot see semedo forging a career at benfica.

Yep Befica sounds above his level but hes not the first talented youngster to fade while out on loan to a championship club.

Of the top if my head we've had Dowell do that, Mount and Wilson did it last year for the sheep too.

robinson 5 - gave away penalty . poor game.
worrall 6.5 - very little to do really
dawson 6.5 - played some nice balls from the back
cash 6.5 - solid at the back. his influence going forward has dropped the last number of games
watson 7 - solid game
yates 7 - athletic and scored a goal
silva 6 - lost some poor balls again last night. as number 10's go he doesn't score enough or cause enough threat going forward. 20 games ..zero goals and 2 assists backs this up.
lolley 5 - very poor all night. the cut in and take a wild shot is wearing thin
ameobi 6 - offers a focal point to aim for. caused them some trouble. will never score much.
grabban 6 - missed some chances in the first half. didnt really do much of note

found it hard to sleep last night after the last number of disappointing performances.

Seems fair enough to me.

Jack's cost us a few goals in the matches we've lost points.  It hasn't gone un-noticed.  Last night also.  He seemed to gradually lose it and then lose it some more for the penno'.

We've missed Rib' as much as we've missed Sow in that regard.

If we have Sow and Rib in those 'AWOL' points games?  Forest have 'MOAR' points on the board.

At least four, I'd say.

It was a deflating result.  Leeds put this lot to the sword.  We...I dunno....what Forest were doing after going 1-0.

*shrug.

silva was lucky samba was able to snatch the ball in the second half. almost a costly error.

I think on the whole Lamouchi's subs have been very good this season but you make a fair point Ciscokid. Last night his subs did seem to be unnecessary and disruptive.

Disagree. Ameobi was flagging (cant understand why he's incapable of playing a full 90 minutes), Silva faded badly and taking off a holding midfielder (Yates) for an attacking winger (Adomah) was a failed attempt to turn the tide and snatch a goal.

I was suggesting in the first half that playing the two holding midfielders against a 5-5-0 / 4-5-1 formation was pointless. But as has been said on the other threads, we have no attacking players to bring in apart from the ones who were on the pitch.

I thought Yates broke forward really well as an 8. Scored one and nearly got on the end of others. I sort of agree re subs, but felt we ended up with a really unbalanced 11 on the pitch.

ameobi has bad asthma. thats why hes huffing and puffing.

What I like about Yates?  His will to win.  (A characteristic of confidence that Worrall and Cash have also...)  But in Yates he utterly embodies it.

He's the future.

That's the spirit SA! Up the reds!!!

RE: Boro Match Player Ratings - zicorice - 11-12-2019

Yates is only going to keep getting better too. I really like him and what he brings.

He needs to heed the advice Brian gave to McGovern to the effect of “give the ball to someone who is better with you.

Those two consecutive passes that he put out of play in the first half were Sunday league.

He's young.  He'll learn.  (The rest of the team and the Forest line in particular didn't hold the ball up well in the lead up to the goals vs Millwall and Boro'.  ie.  Wasteful.  Very 'Sunday League' to throw it away with a few mins to go on each occasion.)

But the goal he put away (for a DCM) demonstrates a will to win that the rest of Forest's front line would do well to 'learn' from.

RE: Boro Match Player Ratings - optimistic_red - 12-12-2019

Yates does not play as a DCM.
He doesn't look for the ball deep for easy possession. He is often the furthest forward player.
Sure when opposition have ball he is in position, but so is whole team.
