Any reason SM? Not seen any tweets from him regarding Forest for a few days.

Ahh of course, forgot he was doing that, will have to give it a listen. Thanks.

RE: Daniel Taylor - Paplane - 08-09-2021

Just listened to it. Nothing outrageous said by him really. I thought he was holding back somewhat, just his usual criticisms of which we're all familiar with.

He was very critical and sceptical of the Vrentoz situation. Also critisied the pr of the club. He suprised me with his critisims of CH as I recall he was very vocal about the club giving this decent manager a proper chance to operate when he came in.

RE: Daniel Taylor - Paplane - 08-09-2021

He briefly mentioned the Drager transfer and suggested it was a player chosen on stats and an upgrade, but he he didn't really offer any snippets of which we arent aware other than we were trying to get a prem striker early in the window but wouldnt pay him what he wanted. Apparently we have a ceiling of £20k p/w now and any player asking for morr than thst wont be coming.

RE: Daniel Taylor - northeastred - 08-09-2021

Was a great listen, few points

Drager was well scouted and is not the usual cast of, they researched him for a while,

Wilder is not a target to replace hughton, he has heard names to replace him but knows nothing about them

Hughton would of definitely gone if we lost to Derby

He was down about deadline day signings, drager and silva, for obvious reasons, but after a few phone calls he felt better as he was told they had been researched through data, silva may not of been a top 5 target but was still a target

RE: Daniel Taylor - Paplane - 08-09-2021

To be honest, he just sounded like a fan. He was disappointed on deadline day night, like we all were, but looking in hindsight, thinks it wasnt too bad. Sceptical that the window had Vrentzos dabs all over it but didnt have any more info to share really.

Also said what this forum has been saying, CH would be gone now if we hadnt equalised at Derby, and he'll be under pressure again if he loses a game again.

I actually found myself agreeing with much of what he said to be honest

Thanks for the posts. If Taylor - who hasn't been averse to criticising the club - has a degree of confidence that Drager and Silva weren't just signed because of where they came from and who their agent is then I think that's encouraging.

You need to listen to it mate. I wouldnt say he was confident in them, just content Id say. He didnt really say much aboit Silva really apart from suggesting the £200k fee was reasonable when compared to the £2m Da Costa cost.

RE: Daniel Taylor - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 08-09-2021

Nothing to see here then. Non of the drama and scandals that some were hoping for.

DT confirms that Dane IS the CEO. Vrentzos still involved at the club in some capacity but DT doesn't really know what is involvement.

He spoke of Danes influence on signings (not Vrentzos). Also confirmed that analysis was done on Drager.

So nothing malicious and no outrage like some were looking forward to.

Okedoke, had a listen, as Pap said nothing particularly controversial, he is simply a fan who gets frustrated and sounds off like we all do, just when he does people tend to notice.

Biggest criticism surprisingly was probably aimed at Hughton. Doesnt seem to rate him at all and cant see situation improving. Thinks club not “just sitting on their hands” about it.
The rumour about Chris Wilder was total nonsense - he doesnt like Alan Nixon does he?

Regarding Murphy he called it “a very strange set up” where you have a former CEO and current CEO working together but didnt go further.

As has been said he was fairly optimistic about our transfer window. That we seem to have a 20k salary ceiling in place was news to me. A Premier league striker turned us down because of that. Critical of past, Lyle Taylor took a few pelters.
Final offer for Buchanan was £1.3 plus add ons and nowhere near enough.

Lovely anecdotes at the end about Eusebio and Mourinho, both huge Clough fans.

20k salary cap is interesting, maybe we'll actually finally sort our finances out. Our best chance of going up in a parachute payments world is surely running low wages and relying on a group of academy players to peak at the same time.

As for Taylor, I've not listened but if as said above he was holding back then sounds like Dane has had a word IMO (wildly speculating). Reigning him back in and getting his support should be seen as a big plus for the new regime, whilst perhaps it means we hear slightly less of the goings on, it implies there's less to tell! Fingers crossed
