Player of the Year 2019/20 Season
#1
Tree
With just 4 matches minimum and 7 matches maximum left to play, or about 3 weeks left of our season, I think it is time to turn our attention to the matter of who our Player of the Season will be for this year.

Please use the Poll and please do debate your favourite player of the year.

Cheers!

I have gone for Matty Cash as my POTY.

He has regularly made the EFL team of the week (before lockdown) and has exemplified everything we fans want from our players, Passion, pride, commitment, dedication, determination, blood and guts and runs his arse into the ground game after game after game.

Prime candidates ( imho ):

Samba - a step up in the keeper role although 1 or 2 bloopers of late probably disqualify him from my vote.
Cash - EFL team of the week regularity speaks for itself.
Ribeiro - as per Samba. A distinct upgrade at left back.
Sow - when he’s fit a revelation. When he’s fit!
Grabban - goalscoring record speaks for itself.

But Watson has been consistently our driving force and gets my vote.

Watson gets my vote, he has played for the badge pure and simple who would have thought he would have played so well. Cash a close second, what an improvement in a position no one would have put him in prior to this season.

Our player of the year often seems to depart, so although Watson, Cash, Samba, Worrall, Grabban and Ribeiro all have good cases that can be made for them. My vote goes to Diakhaby.....just ahead of Heff and Zak Clough.

I’m gonna hang on for a few weeks, time for the ultimate hero to come to the party.

I gone for Joe Worrall, he's still a young lad but very mature and all rounded for his age, I've told Sabri that he should bring Daws on, on 60 mins and stick Joe up top, maybe with Costa, Joe's will to win could help up the other end, i think i'm in love with him.

I went Watson because he has gone from literally a liability to an integral part of our team and possibly one of the best players in the division. What a transformation, what a player!

Me too, I have 3 players in mind but I'll hang on for a bit.

There might be some special drama coming up...

My head's saying Cash at the moment but if Watson scores the winner at Wembley against the sheep then my heart may take over.

If the ball bounces off Diakhaby’s arse from 6 inches out for the winner against the Sheep at Wembley then he would be my player of the season too.
