If we could sneak a win West Ham would need to win two out of their last three to catch us. That feels unlikely. Big if of course though.

Particularly as one of them is Arsenal.

Means if we beat either Chelsea or Newcastle we would likely go into the final two games 6 clear with a big GD lead.

Flat out Monday against Chelsea with our strongest available team, secure the 3 points required (in my opinion) to secure PL saftey then we can focus in the EL cup Thursday. EL cup progress is less important in my view!

If I was given the choice of 3 points on Monday or a draw against Villa, easy choice for me. This might be a once in a lifetime chance to win a European competition.

If we get a point against Chelsea West Ham will need to win 2 out of the last 3 unless all of a sudden we get a couple of good hidings.

I’d take a draw, and rest one of Sangare or Anderson and one of Wood or Igor Jesus so that they are fresh for Thursday.
