Any good? He's had two games against Newcasle and looked, well, slightly dodgy to me. Can he come good, quicky? Our season may rest on him forming a good partnership with Felipe. We're currently shipping at least 2 goals a game. You dont stay up doing that.

I think so but he needs to start showing it starting with Wolves and Leeds.

Felipe was a beast against Newcastle so he'll have support. The next few games will hopefully give him more chance to settle but it's a proper baptism of fire for him in our situation.

Are we writing players off now based on

- Their first ever game in the Premier League
- A game against one of the most physical forwards in the Premier League
- Their first game back after a six month injury

?

Seems very harsh to me. He was bound to have been rusty on Friday and he was. The penalty was a mistake - no getting away from it - but can we at least give him a run of games before consigning him to the bin?

Iirc Sausage he was much improved in his 2nd game against West Ham. Lets hope he just needs to settle down and find his groove. He has all the attributes to be decent at this level, despite what know nowts Carragher and Neville say.

Nobody is saying he is useless. Just the unrealistic expectation that has been put onto someone with 3 Premier League starts to his name.
All this nonsense on Twitter about Niakhate on 1 leg being better than Worrall. Well surprise surprise that aint true.
I think he will come good but dont think he was ready to start on Friday. Think if Cooper could play the game again he would have started Worrall and brought on Niakhate for Johnson on about 70 mins, play 3 CBs and see the game out for a point.

If we go down the primary reason in my book will be Cooper's total faith in Brennan. Absolutely everything we do has him at the centre. Thats good while he's good but he's been learning on the job and it's cost us so many games. I said yesterday Dennis would be ok by now if he'd had more game time.

Felipe and Niakhate in my opinion could be a very good pairing but of course the truth is in the pudding.

I think we should persist with Niakhate now because games is what he needs.

Yep, I'd stik with him now. Big call by Cooper dropping Wozza for a raw Nikhate. Hope its the right one.

The best thing about Felipe and Niakhate is you can play 15 yards higher up the pitch.
That has to be a positive
Felipe is deceptively quick, there was a through ball in the first half for Isak, where Felipe started level with him and got the ball first and played back to Navas.

I agree, hoping after a behind closed doors friendly and more time on the training ground they will show their worth.
