You can say what you like about Allardyce but he had Jay-Jay Okocha in his side and he was the most entertaining footballer to ever play in the Premier League!
Hughton- A promotion winner - twice and kept clubs up in the league above. I don’t think he is as negative as you are being led to believe- certainly similar to the much lauded Karanka and actually has a better record. A very sensible and ambitious appointment for me

The side he had at Bolton played great football. I bet Bolton were in dreamland having players like Ivan Campo, jay-jay Okocha, Youri Djorkaeff

I'm quite warming to the idea of Big Sam, he was a pioneer of sports science, likes organisation and usually popular with his players
In October 2014, Allardyce claimed his reputation for playing long ball football was "not founded in fact" and had been used as an excuse by opposing managers such as Arsène Wenger, David O'Leary, Graeme Souness and Rafael Benítez following defeats by sides managed by Allardyce.[5] Allardyce wrote in his autobiography that "when they hit a 50-yard ball it was a cultural pass; when we did it, it was a hopeful hoof".[212]

None of Watkins goals were, one was scored from a set piece though. They broke through with through balls from midfield more than anything.

That cannot be denied ^^ Sam had Bolton playing some lovely stuff with some cracking players.

Let's get an up and coming manager who can motivate modern players. Fat Sam and MON best work was 20 years ago. Their long ball tactics will get some victories but not enough to get promoted. The game has changed massively over the last 10 years with the influx with foreign coaches and players. If the manager has to be British I would make Eddie Howe the number one target or Paul Cook
