Sabri - Snap Poll 2

I am not sure how accurate these polls are of the fan base. I think this one probably underestimates the support Sabri has. The people most motivated to respond will be the ones who want immediate action taking. I still think he needs some more time to allow the new players to gel. Generally last night was another disappointing performance but yet again there was not much in it. Individual error cost us again. Sow didn't  track back which allowed the cross from a dangerous position. However I thought McKenna and Soh looked promising. We do still lack creativity in the final third and he does need to put that right very quickly.

Ive never advocated a manager to be sacked. I thought warburton and O’Neil were hard done by and the pressure put on Karanka who eventually walked was ridiculous. I agree Sabri deserved a shot this year but the state of the team since derby has been shocking.
What is most worrying is the last 4 games. Barnsley - OK - a free one and more important to bed in some fitness of players. QPR - typical opening game - rusty and could have gone either way. Cardiff - awful first half - at least some fight second. Huddersfield - Sabri lost the plot. We go a goal down and just throws on players and changes positions of freeman and arter to their bemusement. Dawson had to drag freeman away from the bench.

Sabri has lost me. He has clearly lost lolley, grabban and figgs - he probably has lost freeman already. Time to go...

I just have seen no progress and improvement. There have been no moments where I thought we looked like winning (or even scoring). If you play well and lose then that is unlucky and over time that will correct itself. We haven't been unlucky, we haven't been good. The performances have been getting worse.

Reminds of the time psycho was in charge. Started well but we were lucky in most games. As time went by that luck deserted us and by the time he was sacked the season was over.

I just don't see it getting better. And there is no reason why a new manager cannot come in and get this squad of players playing good football and winning matches. We've got the options, we've got the squad.

Over 1 game though... this time last week the majority we all for giving 10 games to get the team to gel...

Sabri alienated me with the seeming cowardly and generally flawed approach and ultimately obvious reversal of luck doing a U turn on him with the Barnsley game, I predicted a 4 goal loss to Stoke and felt after this game was the right time to go

Having said all that, as he was still here and stepping into the unknown is no guarantee of success the start of a new season seems like bad timing and maybe it would be all change, goals galore, change of philosophy's 

Also we were very close to going top 2 last season and at times I was thinking maybe Sabri is the most absolute football genius

Ultimately these are 'instant, 'now' votes, last time was only 3 maybe 2 days from the next game and thought Sabri might conjure up something to infuse goals, points and entertainment into our season, i was thinking last chance saloon

Anyway i didn't vote last time, i'm voting now because it is a rigid philosophy, even primitive and not working and hasn't for months

I'm sure everyone has there own journey to this point, I respect those who are far more loyal than me, but come on, we have all seen the same thing and the unknown doesn't guarantee anything, we could end up with the biggest total d*ck head of all time

Dawson had to calm Freeman down after he had been taken off. Arter looked non-plussed at some instructions when Grabban came on.

Gabriel starts first game then not in squad, then Jenkinson starts, then he’s not in squad and Darikwa on bench having not been in first 2 squads - all seems a bit of a shambles.

On paper we have a very good squad, but Sabri not getting a tune at all.

Then you factor in last 9 games of last season, so we are looking at 13 games, which is almost a third of a season, and it has been abysmal.

Nice guy but I think we need a more progressive manager

I think the owner will make the decision and it might be next week. The international break will soon be with us and another defeat bad performance and I think he will be on his way unfortunately.

I also think that they might have someone lined up, remember when MO went Sabri was quickly in.

I know you said before about some of the back/board room liking Paul Cook? Any other rumblings or suggestions of someone more domestic?

I simply do not believe he can turn this around. When Forest go 1 down it is practically all over, they do not come back, have no plan for coming back. The subs are desperate, try something else, no structure, no alternative, just go on and have a go. Even then people start switching positions.
Don't wait, do it now!

I haven't really had too much input into the should he stay or should he go debate and I will not be taking part in the poll.

No doubt I will get a new arse torn out of me by some of you and some of you may agree with me, kind of understand what I am trying to convey or just dont give a flying bollock tickle!

It is my opinion that we should give Sabri until at least after the international break so that he can work with the new lads he has brought in. It will give him time to assess who is up for the task and who isnt, so he can formulate a cohesive and reliable matchday squad. He also needs that time to get across to the new lads his system, how he thinks it should work, but importantly, why it isnt working.

If he is looking at new formations, then he needs time to put that across to the players, setting out how he thinks things could/should/would be done correctly. 

We all know it takes a few games for new players to blend into their new side, and that is often with the main part of an already established team playing alongside them, so they can pick up relatively quickly the style of play being implemented by the side from the off. That just simply cannot happen with 8 new signings in the starting line up! That was a massive mistake by Sabri. I concede there were 4 positions that had to have new players in place. Cash and Watson no longer at the club and Worrall out with a broken foot. Figs needed to be rested and it is a strong argument that Grabban needed a kick up the arse too! But Riberio, Yates, Mighten, all did enough to warrant staying in the side from the previous match.

I am not going to rave about Ioannu as I know nothing about him, but what I have seen of Blackett, I sincerely hope he is an upgrade. People have been hopping up and down banging on about the likes of Christie and Blackett, but I fail to understand why. Blackett was allowed to leave a Reading side that struggled badly for the best part of last season (is it a coincidence that they are unbeaten this season so far?) and the filth down the road didn't want Christie 3 years ago. Colback didn't play at all last season, yet loads are expecting him to be the same as he was on his last game for us. Seriously? I still think Darikwa should be given an opportunity to show he is still go to play. If his injury has slowed him down to the extent that he can no longer do a job for us, then at least we gave him a chance. 

What about Taylor? Well I feel he is certainly more capable of doing the dirty work in the opposition half, which we have missed a lot of in the past. I would like to think he will come even better for us in the not too distant future. Freeman, just like Grabban, he isnt being given enough of the ball in the right areas, in fact he is being expected to play in the wrong areas for a striker. Not on in the box, but out on the wing? 

I do like Mbe Soh and McKenna. They both showed maturity and a sense of calm while others were losing their shit. 

But these are all new players, learning a new style to the one they are familiar with, with a group of players they are not familiar with and in some cases in a country they are not familiar with. Sabri was the one who spoke to them, encouraged them to join our club, tried to sell them the project. They may just be starting to buy into that project. Get rid of Sabri, and not only do the new lads have to start again, but the whole team does.

So to recap, I am not going to vote. I would like to see Sabri have until two or three weeks after the international break to turn things around. I would like to see a new formation tried though and a bit of consistency in the team selections once this is set up. And if, after all of that nothing has improved, then I will eat humble pie and wave au revoir to Mnsr Lambouchi knowing that at least we gave him every possible chance.
