You have to appreciate that Sabri is more likely to leave before Carv...........only a win against Udders on Friday will save Sabri from the chopping block. Replacements list is now being prepared, the axe is firmly over the neck of Sabri now.

Is that an actual fact JW or pure speculation?

True - but neither of the last two managers have been keen on him. No guarantee the next bloke, should he be here soon fancy him. Also under Karanka, it was not as if he was a revelation. That's why I feel a loan move for the season would do him good.

I don't accept that. You don't give a manager this many new signings of his choosing without allowing some time for him to bed them in and formulate a functioning team. That way madness lies. We have seen managerial changes too often. Surely even those wanting Sabri gone can see this is only fair? These are his signings now and he'll ultimately live or die by them, but over a period of time not one more game.

Gone to Almeria in the Spanish second division on a season long loan

A victim of the changes in approach after Karanka left. He thrived in a possession based style, but the the two managers since have had very different styles, neither of which suit Carvalho.

Almeria? Backward step then, gone down a level. He's really not as good as some think he is.

We seem to have a good relationship with Almeria.
They must be very happy with the Appiah deal.

Option for a permanent transfer after the loan. I wonder what the fee is set as, as we have 9M more in payments still to make on him.
This was inevitable if we got an offer. He may thrive in what I assume is a less physical league.
He was never at the level of quality of Ruben Neves signing for Wolves, though similar level of fee.
I wonder how many signings in the history of the championship are over £12M and how many of those were strikers?
