I've got to say my enthusiasm of them is dwindling. Last year they put out their 'lets stop singing tits fanny Forest' request, which I thought was modern day woke nonsense. Since then they claim to have had regular meetings with the club but as a fan base we still don't know whats happening with the redevelopment, or had any other form of communication re the long term strategy for the club. Did they not feel they needed to press the club on those matters? Surely it's what a supporters trust is there to do?
They have noble aims, things like improved disabled facilities etc, but to be honest, I think it'd be better if a bit more of the real fan base were represented - the fans who go to the games, have a few drinks, enjoy the matchday experience with their mates etc., rather than fans who want to change the world.
Thank you for your honest response Pap. I didn't even know they were an exclusive group that you had to pay for! Would I really want to be associated with a group that react to a minority (one woman complaining about the tits, fanny forest song) than the views of the majority? Not really. I would support a group conveying the concerns and problems all fans face with the club. So at least we now know they communicate with their members, which I suppose is something. But were they not set up to represent the fans (as in all of us?) In which case, they are failing miserably.
I agree fully with your final paragraph mate. Is that not what a fans group should be made up from? A complete cross section of fans from the A Block and Lower Bridgford to the Main Stand, Upper Trent End and Cloughie Stands?

Agree with all of the above. I’ve never quite ‘got’ what the Supporters Trust actually do.
It seems to be that they love a good headline - LGBT, Racism, access for the disabled etc.
Now - don’t get me wrong - these are all very laudable issues on which progress is required - but they lose sight of the issues that your average fan is ( rightly or wrongly ) more interested in.
I had - as I guess everyone else has had - the opportunity ( invitation ) to join but I declined.
A good old fashioned ( active & questioning ) supporters club is in my view perfectly capable of representing our views - but then I am an old fart.
It would be interesting to poll opinion on the Trust & folks’ views - I suspect that the Trust ( and hence the club ) would be dismayed at the results.
And if they had serious dialogue with the club on Season Cards they have failed abysmally to represent the fans.

You dont need to be on the board Tricky, I wouldn't want to be, I would clash with a few of them myself but they do welcome feedback so your heartfelt plea above about the lack of communication is I think worth getting in touch about. Its a very valid point, the club are dealing with a very small minority of fans who pay a membership but there has been an almost total lack of communication with the wider fan base.
As a season ticket holder for instance I have had no communication by email or post about what is happening, I have got it from social media. As customers they need to make an active attempt to communicate with us and keep us informed, not rely on us finding out from Twitter.

Cambridge United's test event with fans tomorrow has been cancelled. Can't see any way in a million years that fans will be back in stadia for the beginning of October.

I agree, right now I wouldnt even be convinced about next October.
The biggest event to take place so far involved 2500 fans at Brighton and that was before the latest spike. The club reckon 7-8000 by October? Not going to happen, be surprised if we get those numbers back before springtime.

It'd be politically impossible to open up the stadiums to thousands of fans whilst families are being told they cant get together at Christmas if there's more than 6.

Has anyone got an official email from the club yet with the options? I have seen on Facebook that some have recieved an email from the club. I have not. Wondering of anyone else has?
