Taylor up front with Grabbs, both are capable of dropping deep to pick up the ball and (on paper) two very capable and creative wide players happy to roam
Samba
Gabriel/ Darikwa Worrall Bennalouane The real Ribeiro
Sow Colback
Lolley freeman
Taylor
Grabban
What I expect though
Samba
Jenkinson
Worrall
Figs
Blackett
Yates
Colback
Sami
DaCosta
Freeman
Grabbs.
Sadly I think your expected X1 will be very close to the mark.

And why would that make you sad?
Nothing more than 2 or 3 in there that - ideally - wouldn’t be starting.

I’d be surprised if we see Sow before October and I’m not sure lolley will be out for either.

The likes of da costa will need to up their game and chip in with goals .
Yates starting makes me shudder. Colback hasn't played in a long time....I'd be surprised if he played more than an hour.

He won a pen v Preston.
Apart from that I cant remember him having a meaningful attempt on goal.

Da Costa was our most fouled player against Barnsley. He’s contributing. They obviously found him difficult to cope with.

I thought he was our best player - though clearly that doesn’t mean much.
