There was a post somewhere on here where someone reckoned that Silva had been seen with a protective boot on.

Anyone know how long it takes to recover from shin splints?

According to the NHS website, a few weeks. But they could come back if doing the same types of exercise, how a person runs, footwear wrong etc. I think because Joe runs the way he does and trains the way he does, he may well be susceptible to them throughout his entire career

Depends on the cause, whether there is underlying issue with bone or muscle. Treatment for both is rest, it can be pretty nasty in some circumstances if you continue excercise, usually you build up again gradually over about 3 months so end of season came at the right time for him. Dont think he will start games possibly until October. Hopefully he is getting decent physio advice, they can work on his running style, shorten his stride etc which can help.

Sounds like we might struggle early on. A few of our big guns injured, a few sold, new players coming in.

Hope Sabri can get them clicking quickly. I fear for his job if he cant.

4 key players right there.  All midfielders.  Need to get them fully fit rather than contributing in a patched up form.

eg.  Sow.  Didn't he have a knee problem that needed surgery or something?

Yep.

He's going to have to get things moving or he's in deep trouble.

Colback coming back from a bad injury and not played in over 12 months

Yes.  He had that bad injury.  (Was that earlier this year when Forest were looking at taking him back?). That might take some getting over.

I'd rather Colback and Sow get the treatment and physio they need to get them up and running properly.

Patched up players just seem to make the injury worse.  I remember when Reid had that groin(?) problem and he was brought back 'too soon' and that next injury just seemed to finish him.

Looks like that pic from earlier was the second half team, given to the rumours smith was at fault for a goal.

We can only assume then the first half team was from this very small offering from Forest’s twitter feed...

Samba?
LB
Dawson
Benalouane
RB
Da Costa
Jake Taylor
Fornah
RW
Lyle Taylor
FW (grabban?)

I’m not sure who’s stood by Dawson in their pic unless it’s fred?
