Found this from an NEP article by Sarah Clapson, have edited out the text so you dont have to look at the million different pop ups and other crap on their appalling website. Anyhow buried in there was a decent article showing loans from the last 5 seasons.
I dont agree with a lot  of the ratings, mostly way too generous, she gave Ebecilio 5/10 which is 5 marks higher than I would give him, but it does give you an idea of the relative success or not we have had with loans.


2019/20
John Bostock: Has seen limited game time, but the midfielder has generally been steady when given his chance.
Looked particularly good as a substitute prior to the break in play. Rating: 7/10
Adama Diakhaby: Looks to really be lacking confidence after a difficult time at Huddersfield Town.

Won’t come as much of a surprise if he ends up heading back to his parent club once his loan is up. Rating: 5/10
Arijanet Muric: Hasn’t quite been able to live up to expectation as he came in with a great reputation, as well as Pep Guardiola’s backing.
The Manchester City loanee started out as No.1 but soon ended up being dropped to the bench. Rating: 5/10

Alfa Semedo: Has had a bit of an up and down spell on the banks of the Trent.
Clearly has talent, just been a little inconsistent and had tailed off a bit following a bright start to his time in the Garibaldi. Rating: 6/10
Rafa Mir: Much like Muric, a loan spell that didn’t quite work out as hoped.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers man badly needed a goal to get him going, and when one never arrived, his confidence dropped.
No surprise he headed back early. Rating: 4/10


2018/19
Sam Byram: Understandable that Forest wanted to bring him back. Playing time was limited for the West Ham United loanee, but he made it count. Looked a class act; got forward well and defended solidly. Rating: 8/10
Saidy Janko: Did pretty well when signed to cover for Byram’s injury. Not always at his best but still looked to have something about him. Rating: 6/10
Molla Wague: Proved a handy addition, both for his defending and his ability to weigh in with goals during his loan spell from Udinese. Rating: 7/10
Jack Colback: Was excellent across two separate loan spells (in 2017/18 and 2018/19). Many fans would love to have seen him return for a third time. Difficult to remember him having a bad game as he usually ran the show from the centre of the pitch. Rating: 9/10

Diogo Goncalves: Not the best of loan spells for the young Portuguese. Had a tough time adapting to the Championship, finding it difficult to show what he’s capable of. Rating: 5/10
Pele: Some good, some not-so-good moments from the Monaco man. But on the whole had a decent time on loan. Rating: 6/10
Leo Bonatini: Never really got going during his loan spell and struggled to make much of an impression. Rating: 5/10
Gil Dias: Perhaps the less said about his time Trentside, the better. Will forever be remembered for that fateful moment when he came off the bench against Norwich City on Boxing Day. Rating: 4/10

2017/18
Kieran Dowell: Tailed off a bit towards the end of his loan, but otherwise the Everton man had done well. High point was his hat-trick at Hull City which secured a 3-2 win. Finished with 10 goals to his name. Rating: 7/10
Lee Tomlin: The forward seemed to enjoy linking up with Aitor Karanka again, and scored four goals in 15 games. Did well in a pretty short space of time. Rating: 7/10

2016/17
Nicolao Dumitru: Fans could be forgiven for forgetting about the Napoli man - the very definition of a loan flop. Managed 12 appearances before returning to his parent club. Rating: 3/10
Pajtim Kasami: A decent spell - probably one of Philippe Montanier’s better signings, albeit the bar was quite low. Made 27 appearances during his time from Olympiacos. Rating: 6/10
Ross McCormack: Not the most successful of spells, although he did have something about him. Netted once in seven appearances and missed a penalty against Sheffield Wednesday. Rating: 5/10

Hildeberto Pereira: Had ability, but also had a tendency to get on the wrong side of officials, which made him a bit of a liability. Nine yellow cards and three red in his 25 games says it all. Rating: 6/10
Joao Teixeira: Has the distinction of not making a single first-team appearance for the Reds. Returned to Benfica early. Rating: 3/10
Aaron Tshibola: Recently said he felt he wasn’t given a fair crack of the whip because he was a loanee coming into a team fighting relegation. Didn’t really get chance to show what he could do. Rating: 4/10


2015/16
Kyle Ebecilio: Hampered by injury problems during his spell from FC Twente. That was brought to an early end after he made just five appearances. Rating: 5/10
Gary Gardner: A popular figure among supporters after two separate loan spells. His rasping drive against Hull City that term was voted Forest’s goal of the season. Rating: 8/10
Bojan Jokic: Pretty steady during his loan from Villarreal. The Slovenia international played 21 times in the Garibaldi and did reasonably well. Rating: 6/10

Federico Macheda: Was billed as the next big thing as a youngster, but never really showed his talent for the Reds. Featured just three times. Rating: 4/10
Ryan Mendes: The winger seemed to have something about him, but didn’t always show it. Scored twice in 32 appearances while on loan from Lille. Rating: 6/10
Nelson Oliveira: Wrote his name into Forest folklore when he scored what proved to be the winner against Derby County early on in his spell. A good striker, who finished with a tally of nine goals. Rating: 7/10
Chris O’Grady: A very different forward to Oliveira. The big front man wasn’t quite able to make the same impact. Rating: 6/10
Liam Trotter: A pretty short spell which yielded just nine appearances. Did okay, without being spectacular. Rating: 6/10
Jonny Williams: Looked fairly decent, but didn’t stay at the City Ground long enough to really show his best, Featured 10 times. Rating: 6/10

If that list above is not a complete embarrassment to this football club then it should be.

If proof is needed that recrutment needs a shake up then have a look at that list.

It's a difficult read it really is. I don't think I have ever seen so much dross on one loan list in my life and believe me I have seen some dross.

Although giving Jokic a 6/10 (the same as Williams, Trotter, O'Grady, Kasami, Pele, Janko, Semedo, etc) is harsh. He came in and barely put a foot wrong, a shame we didn't sign him.

I thought that too. 7.5/10 for me. Also thought Oliveira was great for us. 9 goals in a Dougie team set up not to concede was excellent. I'd give him an 8/10 in the circumstances.

Yes Jokic was one of the exceptions. Good player. Looking at that list though gives me nightmares.

I really would like a couple of decent loans like skipp this season looking at players like woodburn from liverpool did well at oxford and bernabe from city who is likley to go out on loan , its about time we got some young exciting talent on loan not journey men or cheap foreign imports.

We are still trying to build bridges and restore our reputation that was destroyed by Fawaz because the club hadn't payed loan fees. Chelsea for one are or at least were refusing to deal with us because of Fawaz. The state that he left this club in was unreal. We are starting again from scratch and it takes time even trying to attract decent loans.
