What Is The Clubs Transfer Strategy
They brought circa £30m into the club from players sold last Summer:

Clark
Jansson
Roofe
Peacock-Farrell
Saiz

So Leeds did sell some of their best players at the end of last season yet they won the league this season!

Yep. Predominantly astute use of loan market inc Ben White & goalkeeper.
I’ve always believed loanees have an important role to play. If we can get that element of transfers right - which we’ve patently not done historically - it can make a massive difference.

They also loaned Augustin with a buying clause worth 20M

That just happened to have a world class manager though.

Clark played 22 games for Leeds and was mainly off bench. No wonder they took money. Not doing anything at Spurs. Only played 3 times on loan at QPR

Jansson, was a surprise but their manager did not rate him in the way he wants to play and wanted to bring in Ben White

Again Roofe was not wanted by the manager

peacock Farrell had already been replaced by the ex Real Madrid (racist) keeper and not many Leeds fans sorry to see him go

Saiz, again Wasnt wanted by manager

Now tell me if Sabri would want to get rid of Cash, Worrall and Lolly?

We have sold a lot of players, yet we haven’t really got a strategy in replacing those players, can we trust them to replace those 3?

How many more Bongs, Diakabys, Mirs, Semedos , Bostocks, Murics, etc are we going to get?

Thats the worry. Ive accepted that we have to sell a player a season to survive. And another to generate cash for incomings but do I trust them to buy wisely? Not at the moment.

See, this one I don't understand. How can you claim that we don't have a strategy for replacing players?

You got me thinking on the other thread Gari discussing our transfer strategy being to go through Mendes and for the most part taking his second string.

Can I give you another example of where we are going wrong. Summed up in 2 words Carl Jenkinson.
Last summer we needed a back up right back for Darikwa. We had Lamouchi on board by this point, it was no secret he plays with a 4231 as did Karanka before him in a system that relies heavily on the full back pushing forward when we have the ball. That dictates we should have gone for someone with pace, probably young, comfortable on the ball.

We got Jenkinson who is an old school right back more like Lichaj and has none of the above qualities. On top of that he was very expensive at £2M, big wages and to boot has a horrendous injury record.
None of that is saying Jenkinson is useless but in no way did he for the bill for what we wanted Other than he plays at right back.

Thats what I mean when I say we dont have a strategy. Plan A was probably to go to Mendes to see what he had, when we drew a blank with him we hit the panic button and bought in someone unsuitable.

The deal was probably sanctioned by MoN and Sabri probably just inherited him. I think he can be something if we give him a start. He was a regular premier league full back for west ham a few years ago, for a season. And he's unlucky Cash has been so good this year.

We signed Jenkinson 6 weeks after MON was sacked so nothing to do with him
