Spare a thought for Tim Sherwood, Steve Cotterill, Nigel Adkins, Gianfranco Zola, Steve McClaren, Phil Brown and Roy Evans this morning who were all up late last night polishing up their presentations.

And wee Billy?

He gets 'his representative' to do his paperwork. He will have been up late putting together his video presentation from his home editing suite.
Or a filthy night with a certain presenter.....

Oooooo!!! I wonder who that could be?

Don't shoot the messenger. I only passed on what I was told from someone who I totally trust and who has been bang on before.

The inquest is ongoing, could go either way. We'll know the answer soon enough.

I am convinced that sticking with Sabri and stability is the best thing for the club.
However I do completely understand the reasoning of those who say best if he leaves, especially the logic that says if he doesnt get a good start to next season he is toast by October and then another season wasted. I also think the owner has zero tolerance for humiliations like we witnessed this week.

Still desperate that BD is the only manager to get us close to the Premier league. That is depressing

Something must change. Whether it's the manager, the recruitment team or something else I don't know but something must change. If we go into the new season with exactly the same set up that we have just ended this season with then I don't have much hope. It's broken and it's not working.

Hand on heart I would like Sabri to stay and to change something in the way that we recruite.

Not sure that EM sees it that way though.

A damn sight easier to sack the coach than it would be to get rid of / replace a recruitment team.

Unfortunately TPL that is correct.

I'm not so sure it does all need to change to be honest. Sabri has been here since last June. Anigo and Modesto since October (although Modesto was around last summer because we saw him in videos) why can't it just be a learning experience for all of them? What did we get wrong? how can we do it better?

Everyone raves about how well Brentford have done with their setup but their recruitment setup has taken 5 seasons to get them into the playoffs and their Head Coach has been coaching there since 2016 (Head Coach since 2018). Before this season they finished 9th, 10th, 9th, 11th but they stuck with the same set up because they believed it would bare results in the end and it has.

Everyone knows what happens when Sabriball clicks properly, we played some good stuff in the first half of the season and were really hard to play against and Modesto has a good record with his recruitment at Olympiacos, he's found them some absolute gems in his couple of years as Chief Scout. He perhaps needs a bit of help in the domestic market but that's fine.

Let's just have a little more patience with it and see how it turns out, it'll never work if the supporters don't trust those in charge.

For me the biggest thing is whether Sabri and the squad can shake off what happened to them the other night or channel it into the desire to do better next season.

Easier for the players to do that I think than the manager, who will no doubt feel personally responsible.

I know it's not the same but I live and breathe Forest every day and I'm personally pretty much over it now.

Modesto has been around for a couple of years almost although not officially.

The reason I said something must change is because of what happened in January.

Sabri specificaly asked for one player and he got a completely different one. This is all being discussed now between Sabri and the owners, there will be nothing left off the table. If Sabri blames the recruitment which he may well do then I can't see how we can just carry on with the same set up. That's just my opinion, like I said EM might see it differently.
