Comments and predictions... Well this is relentless now, Derby have exactly the same points and are in the same position as last season after 40 games, the Dogs have yet to lose post lock down, same as Derby. my heart says home win but gotta keep it real with out the PP fans. Derby County 2-2 Nottingham Forest. Derby 2 Forest 1 Has to be a 3-1 to the Ramarmy I feel a bad day at the office is about to hit us. Rams 1 Notts F 1 Derby 4-1 Forest, Rooney. Derby 2-2 Forrest waghorn Rams 5 vs 0 Gumps Derby 0-1 Forest No goal for us We get "rowetted" for a one nil. muchunhappiness In the aftermath pubs get closed again because is 2020 and it's gonna keep on coming. Rams 4-2 Gumps Sibley I reckon four different Rams could score. We've got THAT much potential up front. Brilliant defence. Midfield's pretty good too! Rams 4 Forest 1 HOME WIN 5 - 4 Derby 1 them 1 waghorn we need to score a goal or go almost 1,000 days since we last scored against them ! Please don’t let this happen lads! Derby 0-1 Forest Cash to score. Thought we looked quite leggy in the second half the other day. Desperately hope I'm wrong Cash and Lolley may not be fit. Rams 1-0 Saplings. Results have really gone our way, we have won all our games (with mixed performances) but are still outside the play offs.. I look at the games left and think the odds are against us. There is realistically one easily gettable place left...and we play away against them. If we lose that game we are toast. We also have Forest, the top 3... Just can't see everything keep going our way. Hope springs eternal and it would be sooooo good to make it.. .but the odds are still against us for my money. Me and My Dad were discussing this the other day. He thinks it's a No, and I think it's a Yes! 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat is my optimistic prediction and I think 73 points will be enough to clinch 6th. I think we'll win Tomorrow and Wednesday but the run will end with a defeat against Brentford setting up a tasty game vs Cardiff. So long as we don't lose that game we'll be alright. After that there will be 2 games left and I think we'll win them both. I think Leeds will be promoted by the time we play them and will be like Liverpool last night i.e not motivated so an easy 3 points. My Dad reckons they'll want revenge for last year but I don't think they'll care. After the Leeds game, Birmingham shouldn't be much of an issue (famous last words) We've won all of our 3 matches since the restart, rising from 12th to 7th, closing the points gap from 5 down to 1 and yet the vote is more negative! Typical Derby fans! Yeah but we’ve also lost two defenders and an attacker in that time. Millwall, Reading and Preston are a different proposition to Forest, West Brom and Brentford. If we don’t lose any more players we know we can score goals and when it clicks we are great to watch, but I feel the battles will come too thick and fast for our thinning squad. Really, really, really hope I’m wrong! Cardiff are bang average I don't know why people are worried about them, they will pick up about 8 or 9 points from their 6 remaining games taking them up to 69/70 points. So we need 4 wins including beating them which is tough but not that improbable if we are on top form. We need to beat Forest I reckon, beat them and I think we will beat WBA as well becuase of the momentum we will have and I think Forest will be a harder game than WBA as they are on average form and we always do well against them as their midfield is nothing special. Leeds and Brentford will be tough but I think we can get a point from those 2 games then win against Cardiff and Birmingham and we will be there. Away form goes out the window so every game is basically played on our home form so really I don't see it as that unrealistic for us to make it, Forest game will be one of the hardest if we win tomorrow I think the chances of us making it go up a lot. Don't think we miss Lawrence much at all if I am honest, if anything having Knight in the side over him may help us as although he is younger he plays like a more experience player with Lawrence playing like the youngster, he offers more defensively and passes it more , Lawrence can get goals out of nothing but based on his overall play I'm not bothered too much about missing him. if we beat the dogs Saturday we will finish up in a play off spot...... then 2 play offs with out watching live will be terrible.... but a final Don't think I could bear playing the doggies in the playoffs. They're unbearable enough as it is. I'd love us to get there though still. The game vs. Cardiff is looking like the critical one, at this point. If we lost to Forest tomorrow it is by no means over (even though I voted no). Leeds beat us 3 times last season and were on course for a 4th comfortable win, funny how things turn out. The fact is that for the second half of the season we have been one of if not the best team in the division. Why all of a sudden are we viewing ourselves as almost inevitably going to struggle against the top sides as if we are just plucky underdogs. We may do it or we may fail but we are in no way shape or form going into these games as lambs to the slaughter. They’ll still high press Bogle I suspect. They’ll also have their pacey winger against Bogle. What is interesting is that the % of people saying that we won't get into the Top 6 has gone up even after we won the last games from the previous poll.... Yes; since then we’ve lost Lawrence, Wizz and Bogle * And our play has been less flamboyant and authoritative although some might say more organised and economical. Head versus heart and heads are winning. . . Yes. Because after the recent seasons of heartbreak Derby will go and be good when nobody can see it. Just like Saturday I think we'll beat Forest because if we lost it wouldn't be as horrible as usual. So we'll win Derby hate us. How can you not tell? We need fear no one in this division and there is no doubt that we are the team the others have to fear. None of the teams are going to give it anything but their best shot and it is almost inevitable that a couple of them will fade under the pressure of over-achievement. Our form suggests that we have got into our stride with a strong squad who can cope with whatever injuries (on and off the pitch) and sendings off (even stupid ones) await us in the next few weeks. If our team was going to crumple it would have done so before now. A season? you call this a season? Er.....yes! The hardest of the three will be Brentford. Bar the three nil the other year, they always excel against us and we're always awful. We certainly owe west brom one after the 2-2 earlier in the season. That appalling dive for the penalty against us in injury time cost us two important points and got them one which could make the difference. Shame Waghorn missed those two or three penos earlier in the season, particularly the Swansea one. Lost a few points there as well. Wow, I love this post. It displays not cocky-confidence but an authoritative self-belief. You know, having Wayne Rooney "in the building" {remember that phrase?!} can instill that form of calm, collected, iron-willed refusal to be cowed. The players need to show a courageous iron-will tomorrow and not be afraid of the possibilities. I suspect Florist will have a few tricks up their sleeve to try and un-nerve us a bit. I think Wayne's influence will be worth an extra player. We could end the season on a maximum of 78 points. The only certainty so far is that we cannot end the season on 77points. We have a minimum of six games left to play. We could have nine games left. All will be decided by the evening of August 4th. Anyone still think the Championship is boringly predictable. Bet they don't support the Rams! While our run in is difficult, this division is so topsy turvy, there is no need to fear anyone. 6th place team has only 3 more wins than 22nd place team. We are the form team and to not continue some sort of good run now would be disappointing. We have had some disappointing matches against Forest though and need to change that tomorrow. As Eddie will testify, when we got promoted under Sir B Clough, we won all of our last 9 games. Bring it on. I've gone from a "no" to a "yes". Because it IS a lottery this season even more so than usual - there is not a pack of teams breaking away and form of all of the top 6 is quite erratic. We need fear nobody out of that list. We will have lawrence back available before too long. I don't know about Wis (is there a time stated for him to heal)? and I haven't heard about Bogle to know whether he is carrying an injury or not. The one good thing about Lawrence being suspended still is that little toe-rag Carvalho won't have anyone to wind up tomorrow.

They keep referring to themselves as the form team. Except we have 7 points also and almost 9. Not exactly a huge difference. Think you'd put brentford and Wigan above them as the form teams

sheep match comments....
Come on Derby , find the spirit of November 1979 , let,s stick 4 past the dirty heathens I would love nothing more than Martin to stick one or several past them, or failing that, the ball to go in off that abysmal excuse for a beard Best team available to pick at the minute, subs bench doesnt fill me with much excitement but i won't be saying that when Josefzoon comes out the wilderness and smashes in a 40 yarder! I heard Roney is a similar player to Rooney. Forest gone with a very defensive midfield No Waggy is a big call. Would have kept him in myself but move him to the right. Very defensive looking midfield by Forest. I think their gameplan is pretty clear. Stop Rooney and Bird at all cost.. A colleague of mine is a red and he says that Samba has lost his confidence. I have to admit that I was jealous of them for having him in goal, because he was really good, but apparently that has all gone. So lots of crosses whipped in near their keep please. I hope someone absolutely clatters Yates early. Let him know he's in a scrap and we won't put up with his crap. I bet he goes in on Sibley at the first opportunity. Ameobi only on the bench for them. Not sure how he's going to rip us a new one from there Grabban is going to get himself sent off today. Quote me, screenshot me, @ me. Derby's first bout of possession never gets into Forest's half. It sucks to lose home advantage against Forest and Leeds. Holmes loses the ball and gives away a foul trying to recover. Derby finding it hard to find a way into Forest's half at the moment, let alone near their goal. Holmes must of had a late one? Guy needs to wake up Forest are closing down very high. Causing us problems.. This is like a reverse of the last few games. Forest are playing well, they have worked us out and have good shape. The fact they are not sitting back could give up openings. Still early doors A couple of gumps are tryin to nick it! A right pair of lady's Forest's game plan is glaringly obvious and is working very well so far. Let us have the ball, no room for the slightest of sloppy touches or they're right on us. We've not created anything yet, hopefully we can be the first to work a meaningful chance because it'll be even harder for us if we go behind. Oh dear. We haven’t started yet. 0-1 Forest. Lolley from range. Easy for Forest at the moment for my money. Sad to say, but totally deserved. They’re dominating us like we did Millwall. Forest deserve that, we’ve started awfully. Shocking goalkeeping as usual. Oh dear. They are dominating the midfield. We need to be more dynamic there. Any way to mute Mick McCarthy? Derby finally play into the final third with SIbley but his lofted pass back to Bird is awful. Forest attack, Lolley falls over and FK to Forest. Our midfield is powder puff. Forest certainly looking the better team by some distance at the moment. They look a yard quicker all over the pitch. We are having to play Hollywood passes to try and get an attack going. This could get messy. They are swarming Sibley, 3 forest players in close proximity every time he gets the ball. They are clearly trying to strangle the Sibley martin link up....its working well at the mo They're pushing up against us when we have the ball, but only making their move the second we take a heavy touch or turn into trouble. Forest are excellent at what they do, their shape is excellent and they're not going to compromise that by diving in at the wrong moment and give us space to work into. We look scared we are sitting back wtf Truly awful so far. Way too deep every time we get possession. Too slow, allowing them to sit in. Rooney’s passing has been way off, Holmes still looks way short of sharpness. Lolley only cuts in and shoots, and we didn’t try and stop it. Pitiful effort. That was a penalty. Clark almost had his shirt ripped off ffs. Sky seem very biased towards Forest don't they Well that was a painful 20 minutes, christ. We look to have taken 5 steps backwards. Reverted back to the turgid sit back, hoof and hope we saw earlier in the season. Time to wake up Derby, you won’t get this chance again! Problem is florist now have something to defend and that's what there good at. No question, Forest have been excellent. To counter their shape & energy we need to a) encourage Clarke or Evans to come out with the ball into midfield & b) up the pace of our passing. Its too slow and too easy to counter. The CBs coming out will start to open space for others and disrupt Forest's defensive shape. They're talking more positively about Forest because they've been the better side and we've been rubbish. Pre-match we were definitely the more favoured side in terms of Sky plaudits. This game is showing exactly why we need Tom Lawrence. No creativity whatsoever. We are playing just so bad at the moment, making forest actually look good fair play to them right now, we don't deserve anything more unless we step things up a gear Playing too slow. Letting Lolley cut inside and shoot was poor defending We don’t look bothered...... They do Bogle goes on a short dribble, then flops over but doesnt win a FK. Looks like no meaningful contact, gone down too easy. He then gets up and kicks a Forest player to shout at the ref. We're marginally better now but still poor We look slightly more dangerous, and more positive with our approach to creating something. Due to Forest's organisation we're going to need a really precise ball to find an opening so far though. As long as we keep at it and try not to rush, I'm hoping we'll find a way through eventually. It's only 33 minutes in, we don't need to panic and give Forest the invite to double their lead. Better now, Rooney is slowing the game down too much though, needs to be getting the passes out first time Half time crossing practise please Much better now. A lot more open and it feels like it’s only a matter of time before we test the keeper I wonder what the possession stats have been since the drinks break. Forest hasn't really had any of the ball! Dacosta has been excellent for Forest, so far. No booking for cleaning out Sibley. Second time the referee has had a word with Samba Sow for a poor challenge, once more and I'd expect a booking. He has the look of a naughty schoolboy every time he's told off. We're having more of the ball since Forest have dropped Yates back a bit, giving Rooney more time. We don't seem to have much creativity wise to do anything meaningful with all of this possession at the minute though. Forest seem very well drilled defensively. Their 'keeper seems a bit dodgy from crosses... shame our crosses haven't been up to scratch so far. 42nd minute, just been in the box for the first time from open play. Rooney’s passing has been really sloppy It has been since the season restarted Typical we put our first poor performance in when we are playing forest All too slow, think young lads a bit overawed early on because it’s forest., No tempo to the game, just doesn’t feel like a local Derby at mo, let’s hope for better second half, but hate to say forest look solid. 2nd Half.....
Poor from Derby. Have to say they are set up like they have an extra player. Ref is a Red. We need Knight and Sibley to wake up. They’re in a big game. We’ve been poor but you have to give them some credit they are very solid Think it fair to say that Forest look really well organised and tough to break down. We got better as the game went on though. Gonna be few chances for us to score so need to take any that come our way. We're just moving the ball slowly and aimlessly in front of forest. There is no kind of movement ahead, we're just nearly playing it from side to side and then putting a poo cross in the box. We won't score in a million years like this. Rooney has been poor. What is it with the Sky love-in of the Dogs? We've been carp and they are still only 1 up from a speculative shot against lead-legs Hamer Credit where credit is due - Forest have played this perfectly. No argument that they have been the better side. The frustrating thing is that we haven’t really tested them. If it continues like this, Forest might go away thinking this was the easiest win they have had all season. All Derby since the break, yet to find a way through. Don't think we've been that bad tbh Forest very organised. We've had more possession and more attacking play in general. I'm quite glad Samba Sow has gone. Forest taking shots from distance, we need to do a bit of that, trying to walk it in past a crowded Forest defence. Come on Waggy!!!!!! FFS, destroy these florest scumbags!!! Good grief it’s over 60 years since Forest beat us 4 games on the trot. I’m watching on Sky BUT with the audio muted. They have got it into their heads that this is a tactical master plan from Forest and everything they are saying fits this narrative. Goal mouth scrambles, all part of Forests master plan and the tactical genius of their manager. Ben Watson shins it out of defence, all part of the tactical master plan! Forest particular brand of anti-footbal is working. All they needed was for us to be a bit sloppy and they would be fine. Silva hits the post. Credit to forest they are making us look so sub par Don’t think their keeper has had to make a save yet? Grabban with time and space to set up a socially distanced picnic in our area. We’re lucky Grabban’s having an off day We've been poor today. Not been able to adapt to the way Forest set up. They aren't any better than us on paper but they've got a plan and it's currently better than ours. Grabban should have hat trick by now. I think they are much better than us. Better organised, more of a goal threat. Just outplayed really and started the game poorly what can you say. The only positive I can see for the club, is that there is no crowd to ask for their money back. 18 wins this season for florest by 1 goal I almost hope they go up, sounds just like us when we got promoted under billy. Would be fun to watch their one season in the PL Rooney doesn't deserve to escape blame for today. He's been terrible. Only Derby could have an off day against their arch rivals. And Evans is absolutely garbage. Goal kick to Ameobi with three men round him and controls it and wins a free kick. We are a joke It all seems very comfortable for Forest. Two minutes before additional time in a Derby game should be anything but comfortable for the side who are a goal ahead. All Forest needed to do was sit in and let us duck it up for ourselves today and we duly obliged. Couldn't get through them and were too sloppy to keep Forest out. Poor from the players and from Cocu who couldn't influence the game with his changes. Its not exactly wrist slashing time but duck me brought us back to ground about how average we are , when Rooney isn't allowed space to play we are a mid table championship team Six minutes to give it a real effort for the first time in the game Bloody hell, Waghorn How’s Waghorn sent off!??? This season will self destruct in 5 seconds............. Studs up. Red. Every time. GOOOOAL Time for a winner? Told you their keeper was dodgy from crosses! Don't deserve the point... BUT GET THE DUCK IN! We only had 10 men!!! Unbelievable. Daylight robbery. Of all the games we decide to have a bad one against this pile of poo. 1-1 but we don’t deserve it but who cares What an incredible feck up by Forest. Full Time 1-1 Absolutely daylight robbery Worst performance of the calendar year, possibly. Ahahah we didnt deserve that at all. Forest fans must be sick. Lovely stuff Worrall, what a thicko, haha. Lollipop doesn’t look happy We deserved absolutely nothing from that. Got a draw. Lollwy looking like he was about to burst in to tears. Bless him. Makes robbing them of a point even sweeter. All we need now is for Forest to miss out on the playoffs by 2 points

Struggling to find anything....
Reds v Fulham Pre Match comments..... WE WILL HAVE TO BREAK DOWN FOREST DEFENCE TO WIN TOMORROW... Sabri Lamouchi seems to have Forest well-drilled and especially very organized in defense. Scott Parker will need to organize and discipline our boys tomorrow night. We cannot turn up and play the same predictable way that we play, we must be smarter than we have ever been this season. This guy Sabri, would be a dream coach for Fulham, especially in the defense department. We struggle season after season, and we just cannot gel our suspect defense together no matter how we try. Mitrovic will sit out his ban for one more game. This is the game that we really needed Mitrovic to keep our stuttery 2 game win going, but not to be. If only we could have the services of Kamara tomorrow afternoon, he must be down with the virus? Ream and company will surely be kept busy by the ever so experienced Lewis Grabbon who i think is the perfect center forward to get any Championship team' er' up to the premiership. It is debatable if Grabbon would be prem class? I suggested grabbing 'er' Grabbon a few seasons back now but as usual, we dont think half these players are good enough for the Fulham. I am not sure if we are even capable of stopping Grabs' and the slick Joe Lolley? They say' cometh the hour, cometh the man! I would like to see some sort of tactical brilliance from Parker tomorrow, or win anyhow will do us before Mitro comes back. Scott Parker' we have accused him and slung him onto the slag-heap. Scott Parker' this is your time to show us some tactical prowess and genius to overcome a Forest team lead by Sabri Lamouchi, who does know what he is doing!!! COME ON YE FULHAM!!!!!!!!! A bit about the ref for tomorrow.... Referee Robert Jones has been refing and running the line from local leagues to the Football League for some 19 years. Mr Jones was promoted to the Football League list in 2016, having previously refereed at National League and the Women’s Super League One level for two years. Referee Robert Jones last refed a Fulham game in August 2019 when we were beat 1-0 by Southampton in the League Cup at the Cottage. It was the night of the lone flag waver. Mr Jones booked four players two from each team, for Fulham Stefan Johansen (47,f) and Maxime Le Marchand (71,f). Prior to the Southampton game Mr Jones had only refed one Fulham game back in Feb 2018 when we drew away at Bolton 1-1 and Mr Jones booked two Bolton players and Fulham's Stefan Johansen for timewasting in the 60th minute. Nottingham Forest have had the pleasure of Mr Jones' company four times so far this season the last of which was the 1-1 away draw at Sheffield Wednesday in June when he booked three plyers from each team. Last season he officiated at 37 matches issuing 113 yellow cards and 2 reds, some 3.1 yellows per game, just below the average. One of his busiest games recently was the Brentford 1-0 home defeat by Bristol City. He booked four Brentford players and three City players and followed up by giving one of the Brentford players a second yellow.

I’ll be watching the game with a Fulham fan, he’s not happy despite their league position.
The general feel is Parker is out of his depth and needed to learn lower down the league before stepping up to this level. They particularly dislike Harry Arter who continues to get picked through nepotism rather than on merit, keeping former target McDonald and the classy Johannson out of the starting line up. Given the quality in their squad they should be top two.

PNE Fans Match Comments......
forest are quite a cynical team, they take levels of shithousery well above ours. Its going to be ugly and a game where the 1st goal will be vital. Let's hope our finishing today starts as it finished in midweek. Forest are lethal on the counter attack so I'd like to see a back four, a workmanlike flat 3 in midfield of Browne, Ledson and Pearo, and then aggriculturally hoofing it forward to Sinclair and Bodin running of Stockley's flick ons... Go long and we won't get caught out of position, they'll kill us in midfield with a passing 4-4-2 No Cash or Lolley for them today. Big misses! Forest fans complaining about lack of pace in their back line. Please don’t leave stockley up top alone Tbh sounds like it's gonna be 4-4-2. I can see it, if Forest are happy to cede possession, we don't need to dominate the midfield. First goal absolutely vital today. If they get it then it will be a long game for us. If we get it then it forces them out a bit and we can hit them on the break. Forest will also be perfectly happy with 0-0. We have to avoid being dragged into a slow-motion 0-0 possession-fest. Good play from Sinclair Maguire and Stockley. Early half chance. Pen to Forest Deffo a pen, very clumsy from Pearo 0-1 Stupid tackle to make. Soft pen but he gave the ref a decision to make Need a fast response, before that first drinks break... Forest are very hard to break down once they go a goal up. SSN - Matt Le Tissier saying he thought the Forest player slipped and it wasn’t a penalty It’s a penalty all day for me. Dumb as f**k by Pearson. He’s been gash Pearson for a couple of weeks now. Forest pressing well and cleverly so far Don’t know why people are saying soft pen. It was stone wall. Pearson was clumsy and no need to even make the challenge. That said, as soon as piss weak Maguire lost the ball, Forest were too quick for us. Shame, it’d been a bright start. 1-1 Get in. Potts to Stockley and into the net. Will people please calm down now?! Ameobi is always a big threat against us. Ref shocking again. Same one that sent Sibley off for nowt so who’s surprised It’s amazing how much more capable going forward we look with two up front One of the worst referees I’ve seen for some time. Must be a Cardiff fan cause f**k me. I’d have been sent off already if i was Neil Blimey this ref is a stinker. Where they found him? What the hell has the ref seen there. No foul whatsoever! Had some crap refs at deepdale but this fella beats them all. Forest playing rolling around after challenge by Pearson and guess what, f**k all wrong with him You not hear the scream? He must've lost a leg or something ya know Since the equaliser we’ve stopped playing football, just lumping it forward now and the last 15 minutes have been rubbish. Hope to be proven wrong by him in the second half but I have no idea what Maguire is offering at the moment. I’ve supported him in the past when he’s had OTT criticism but he isn’t a goal threat and is weak in possession. Against quality counter attackers like Forest we can’t have Maguire falling over and giving it away in bad areas. Not much between the teams at the break and but for a very soft and clumsy penalty we may have the lead. Got to say im very disappointed Forest and their antics, going down at every opportunity. Unfortunately for us the ref has been awful and fallen for everything they’ve done so far. Rudd giving Forest players and backroom staff a real ear bashing as they leave the pitch Decent half really, frustrating to conceede so early. For big lads these Forest players fall over screaming easily and sadly the referee buys in everytime. They look dangerous on the break but this is there to be won. Handbags at the half time whistle? Looked like their full back, Ribena, has his nose out of joint. |
