i think young man Johnson had the best game of his career so far and it was his first start in the league, also considering Silva, Yates and Johnson were all in tweaked positional variations, and the team had alot of youngsters. This is the sort of set up that can get seriously exposed by the sort of seasoned campaigners in the opposition.
I think the performance and result was probably much better than face value and standing up to the true test today could be priceless going forward

I was angry yesterday, it's faded to more like lingering mild disappointment now. There was always the chance of automatic promotion even if it were a long shot, and call me old fashioned but without that I still wanted 3rd. I'm going to change mindset to settling for any place in the play-offs now to save me the brain-ache, and hope we can hit good form and fitness for those (hopefully) 3 extra matches.
On the positives I thought Lolley & Cash linked up well like old times.
Also good to see Johnson play anyway in the absence of Sow & Watson, I'd rather our youngsters got a chance than the failed loan signings like Semedo. Hopefully Mighten gets some game time in the run-in too.

Surprised nobody has mentioned that first touch by Lolley when he received the ball from Cash for his goal. Pure class.

there was some good work early where Grabban received the ball perfectly and the ref blew for a non foul, i seem to remember a few of these earlyish in the first half where the ref seemed to blow his whistle every time he breathed out.
i know its impossible and all based on hindsight but putting flare players on in the closing stages, a bit of a pattern, Dawson was on the bench, just put the muscle in there, yes be great if we could run it into the corners and keep ball but it rarely happens

I agree too about Dawson. These late goals we keep conceding it needs looking at.

I agree about Dawson coming on. Sabri seems reluctant to bolster the defence to see out the game.
He obviously believes the midfield is good enough to hold onto possession and see the game out.
I’m not so sure!
