I think Sky etc will have the ultimate say, I’m sure I’m not the only one who has cancelled their Sky Sports package this weekend.

Its on my list to call them to cancel. Did they offer you a deal to stay?

I didnt realise till i looked last night its £34 a month for sky sports. Thats a lot with no actual sport to watch in the world.

I was already at a reduced rate of £17 a month for the sports complete package and HD.

Was just thinking about the idea of leeds/WBA getting promoted with no-one getting relegated after the season gets cancelled.

This seems like a pretty good result for us all things considered. We'd have a better chance of promotion next season (if there is a season) due to the league being weaker as opposed to the unlikely scenario we go up via the playoffs.

Too many legal wranglings which will result from them not finishing the season IMO. Contracts have been signed which will stipulate the laws of the competitions, and the leagues will have to abide by that or face legal action.

If there is a work around though, I think that may prompt clubs like Leeds & ourselves to consider breaking away from a format which is totally geared towards hording as much money as possible in the top echelons of the Prem.

This season will be completed...even if it is By November. We r too much into the season to just cancel it. If it was September or October , maybe, but in March!!! ... it seems people forget how much money has been invested and spent already....

My feeling is the Olymic games will be cancelled nd the F1 season as it didnt start, the later everything will move by a year, regulations included.

Must say that the German idea makes sense ie attaching the end of this season to the beginning of next along with cancelling all cup games and internationals to make room. That way we could start maybe first week of September and keep the integrity of the leagues respected. Maybe a runner?

Even if games are played behind closed doors you cant realistically ask players to train and generally engage in a physical contact sport whilst there's a risk of infection.

Given the suggestion is a vaccine will take potentially years at what point are they going to have to take that risk? Aside from isolating players between games I dont really see a solution? 

Also even in a hypothetical scenario where we did get it under control. There'll be other countries further behind so we'd end up like China where we close borders then European football will not happen.

So basically without a working vaccine or the players being willing to risk it I dont see top level football resuming for a long time.

That said I've spent two days alone debating this so theres a chance I've gone a bit doomsday with this :P
