Do Forest Still Hate Liverpool?

The rematch at Old Trafford was the final straw for me, after everything we had been through at Hillsborough together their fans then started singing 'we hate Nottingham Forest'.

Scum.

I remember that too!! We were stood right next to them, in the corner of the Stretford End. Things had been going well with both sets of fans. I remember a scouser came up to the fence and threaded some red and white marker tape through to the Forest fans, which was then passed right around the ground........a signal of unity between both sets of supporters.? They then sang 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. Not one single Forest fan said a word. We just stopped and listened, then gave them a round of applause. We then belted out City Ground (Mull of Kintyre). The Liverpool fans responded in kind and gave us a round of applause. All surreal up to this point. Then they started singing 'We Hate Nottingham Forest' to which every Garibaldi Red in that stand responded without a flinch 'and Nottingham Forest hates you, you Bastards'!!

Very good summary Tricky and that is exactly how I remember it. I can't forget it. It was just a week after the events at Hillsborough FFS.

Poor old Liverpool. Imagine only losing one league game and getting 97 points but not winning the title  :)

*tiny violin for them.

Never liked Liverpool.

Proud that Brian Clough's Forest stood up to them.  We got the league and knocked them out of Europe.

Other than the ‘garibaldis’ I haven’t enjoyed watching a game more all season!
