Has George Friend really become that bad? I remember when we used to be after him.

Middlesborough v Reds
Match Comments..... Team News announced.... Hahahahaha please someone help me. I don’t know what to say. Never bet against your own team, but after seeing that I am! How is Wing STILL in the starting 11?! Absolute joke. What has Spence done?! Gestede?! Nice to see Nmecha showing himself to be to ‘top top class player’, as Woody has said Our right-hand side is atrocious. Where's Britt too? Has he given up? Honestly hope Tyrone O'Neill gets a chance in this game Haha. The man is living on a different planet. I’d rather have a monkey in charge. Assombalonga isn't even on the bench against his former club, hahaha I know he often shits the bed against them but jesus christ Woody on sky litteraly is a deer in the headlights every game is like sending a lamb to slaughter "Win all eleven games and we are out of it" wise words Woodgate but we have only won 8 so far! Oh hello - El Presidente Gibson is in the house tonight! Riverside looking sparsely populated, unsurprisingly. Correction: one of the stands is looking reasonably full. I bet Ameobi scores!! Forest have picked up most points since New Year out of any club - 25. We have just 4 The whole match thread has turned into a joke. This is where we are at now, it's a comedy Are we winning yet? No, but some promising early play from Boro. First good cross into the Forest box. To be fair we look quite up for this Whisper it quietly, but Boro are actually looking up for this. Some sustained possession and general forward movement in the direction of the Forest goal. Just a shame our attempted through-balls are so wayward. Yep - Forest looking quite dangerous when they get forward. They have some serious pace in their side. A shot! getting better I We couldn't score in a free brothel if we were the 1,000,000th customer. the most basic football look so immensely difficult. Whatever we do in training, it certainly isn't improving the players' technical abilities Well we are playing alright but just clueless up front so will spend the game passing it around then Forrest will get a chance score game over We are so *** poor in the final third it's ridiculous. Yeah but forest play the counter game so will be happy for us to have possession, to be fair they aren’t worried about us scoring lol 1-0 Forest League 1 here we come! Guestede so slow in thought Howson having a lousey game so far keeps missing passers and looks like an old man compared to their left winger. 0-1 to Forest and expected Aw *** hell! Long range effort from Forest - a bit out of nowhere...but he wasn't closed down. Given plenty of time & space to shoot - none of our players near him! There's no noise, it's dead in here, a few half hearted anti-Sky chants from the south stand aside. Game over, 5 hours with no goals and not likely to get one in the next 5 either. Good layoff by Gestede in fairness! Good save by the keeper All this team does is pass the ball around defence offer's nothing else is awful I have seen 10 year olds play better football. SG statement about getting back into the premiership suggests he plans on living a very, very long life. Difference between these two teams is that Forest have an actual manager in charge. They are set up well and know what to do with and without the ball. Jesus even when the keeper makes a mistake we can’t score!! Believe it or not Forest are rocking abit at the back but Boro are to lightwieght. 1-1 Rudy Come on boys... good time to score. Fair play Rudy, repaying the faith. **** me Guestede as scored ..wow I am gobsmacked...lololol GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL 2-1 Don't worry guys, plenty of time to for us to *** this up yet We go into half time errrrrrr WINING!

Continued...
Well well well...what a first 45,,, Play-wise I don't think there has been too much between the teams. Forest have actually been the better technically...just lucky for us they haven't been too clever in the final third either. Boro have worked hard (if not always very smartly). One glaring moment where we seemed to switch off gave Forest plenty of time & space to score the opener. Think Woody must've told the lads that Gibson was in the stands because we kept up our work rate and began to push Forest onto the back foot. Think we definitely shaded the last 15 minutes or so and overall good value for our lead. Just hope we can do the same again second half... That millionth bloke in the brothel is suddenly having a good evening. Just called upstairs and told the wife BORO winning at half time, honestly she doesn’t believe anything I tell her, I hope next door never heard her reply, she needs her mouth washing out. Forest are pretty blunt offensively the only time they've looked dangerous is us gifting them possession at halfway or anytime a ball is near Ryan Shotton. Think forest have looked awful myself, how on Earth are they 4th!? They are normally much better second half yes forest have to the look of a team who just thought they have to turn up and they will win. maybe the pressure of winning is getting to them Oh Rudy - why didn't you shoot?!?! Could have been a great chance for 3-1 there. Ben Watson has decided to incorporate the Nick Bailey look and role. Oof! Big let-off for Forest there...ball nearly dropping in to the goal from an attempted cross Their keeper is definitely injured. Need to take advantage before their bench notices. Lolley sucks tonight! Harold is dealing with Grabbon very well so far Forrest are kinda rubbish well they gotta be for us to be beating them, but how they 4th Ameobi has done nothing tonight expected him to rip us apart before hand not going to lie We are going to regret the missed opportunities to press this Forest team they seem to be getting stronger whilst we are starting to fade Got that gut feeling we might rue these missed chances Seems we have the ability to make the top teams look really bad and the worst teams really good...... Jesus - Forest VERY close to scoring from a corner of their own. Hanging on a bit It's all Forest now. Forest starting to get a worrying amount of possession & free kicks, corners etc. Way too much Forest now. We need something to change or they will get the goal. FFS BORO don’t blow this. 2-2 It was coming... Spence. Haha. What was that. Looked like a small child there. Oh well we’ve invited them into us. Ignore the foul on Pears, but is Grabban not offside there? Surely he impeded Pears there? No he wasn’t. And there was no foul. Just *** poor keeping. Nearly 3-2 forest!! We are god awful!! Why do all our set pieces result in Forest chances to score It’s a good job forest are having an off day in front of goal, another chance missed for them Full time 2-2 Well we got a point...and I would have quite happily taken that before kick-off. Overall a draw was probably a fair result. Another game that twisted and turned like a twisty-turny thing. Boro's lack of awareness and sloppy defensive play led to an easy opener for Forest. We worked hard to get back in the game and scored a couple of scrappy goals...Gestede's header which just crept in, as did Wing's shot. Boro kept up the pressure and intent to get a 3rd goal for a good chunk of the 2nd half, but then started to fade in the last 15 or so. Forest got back into the game and with increasing possession and set pieces, an equaliser felt inevitable...and so it proved. As far as Championship survival is concerned, Boro are still very much in the brown smelly stuff. Performance-wise...did the players give Woodgate a hint that they are prepared to play for him for the rest of the season, or was it a one-off? Guess we'll find out. Grabban just got in Pears' way and stuck a leg out...made contact and the ball rolled behind them, into the goal. No foul I expected us to win this game before kick off, so I'm not happy with a point at all. Forest are rubbish, we should have put the game to bed with our chances but we then spent the last 20 minutes knackered and hanging on. On their equaliser - if that was Grabban vs. A centre back, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. It doesn't suddenly become a foul just because it's a goalkeeper. It was a fair goal. I think it’s a foul against any of the other 23 goalkeepers in the championship. Grabban looks back at Pears, not at the ball, then he raises his arm across Pears and backs into him. A clear foul. The world wide conspiracy against the Boro continues. I haven't seen anything like that Pears and Grabban thing in years I don't know what Pears can do there my only thought is maybe flop to the ground because if you wrestle him it's a pen you just try and wrap your hand around him and hope the referee does what your defence hasn't and protect you. Bright spots today were Moukoudi, Coulson and Johnson I thought Gestede still mistimes far too many leaps and the midfielders I mean McNair's set pieces were dreadful he ran well but was too casual defensively. Tavernier tried and ran around but lacks quality and an edge there's no world he's an offensive player at this level for me maybe a midfielder but on the wing he's a passenger. Shotton was dreadful, Clayton tries but some of his decision making and touches were awful gave the ball away far too much. Wing was in and out of the game he put in a shift but I still question how long he takes on the ball before he gets his head up. Substitutions took far too long for me we let Forest put all 3 of theirs on then they penned us deeper and deeper as our legs faded and we had a lampost up front who couldn't run minute 1 yet alone minute 80 our outball became a Forest defender and the pressure/set pieces built from there. I think us getting out of this depends how quickly Roberts/Ayala come back and if Britt can actually hit some kind of form to rescue us because if we play that XI today 10 more times we'll be in League 1. you run risk of a penna shoving through the striker. The ball was low as it arrived at Grabban, if Pears goes in with his harms, it would be a penna. Grabban should not have been allowed to be in that position without being marked, pure and simple. Haven't looked at all the comments but for me Fact 1. Grabban looked to see where Pears was. Fact 2. He blocked him. Fact 3. Forest score. Fact 4. Stevie Wonder is now a football referee. Seen their second goal now, not a problem in it, I agree some refs would give a foul but I think they're wrong when they do that so... yeah. Nothing wrong with the goal. Not that any of the defenders actually come off any better than Pears there, McNair might be done by the bounce of the ball but he looked barely aware of what was going on. Howson seemingly lucky not to give away a penalty with a hand-ball just before that too. Watching their first goal back and yeah, *** McNair, you get a great angle of it in the highlights in the replay where he's just on the floor, raising his arms, looking at the ref, when he should be focused on the game and helping the team close the ball down. Pears should probably reach the strike but given the state of our performance in the first half in front of him and given how well he played generally other than that, I'm hesitant to blame him alone for that goal. The ball should never have gotten that far through from that far out to begin with. Agree Forest were there for the taking, had we scored a third when on top we probably would have gone onto a win, which happened in a alternative universe by the way!

Thanks Joe. They were unbelievably pessimistic werent they. Feel we have let 2 points slip against a team in free fall.

Forest v Millwall
Pre Match Comments... Another tough game under the lights and on Sky from the City Ground. They are looking for points to stay in the play off race and we are similar. We can take some positives from the Bristol City game and hope to keep that momentum going on Friday. GR will have been keeping a very close watch on the training ground to see who is up for it and whether we have any who are ready to take their place in the squad after being crocked. One certainty Is that Bart will wear the gloves. His number two is unable to play as this is his parent club so Sandford will have to sit on the bench as the back up. Mahlon will be at RB and hope to continue to impress in defence and attack. The first big question is whether we have two or three CB’s. My guess is that GR will go back to the tried and tested formula of three CB’s away from home. Hence Pearce will resume as the skipper alongside Cooper with Murray slotting in at LB. That naturally leads to two in CM with Woods and Molumby filling those positions. There has been talk during the week of Williams returning to the squad but it would make more sense if he started on the bench and looked forward to next week when Bennett cannot play against his parent club. Maybe against Derby we might have three in midfield. That leaves three slots to fill upfront and I would normally say that Jed is a given. The lad has not played well for several weeks but it would take a brave man to bench him at this stage of the season. He can be a match winner but he has not been at his best for a while. GR will have been watching him carefully in training to see whether he is up for it. It is a tough call. The same could be said for Bradshaw. Apparently the lad has not been well during the week so this might be a reason to start him on the bench. The same sickness has hit Bod but he may have recovered. If either is not up for it would you start Bennett in a central role? I don’t see why not. Or if you don’t fancy that would you start Smith? Another tough call. Wide left could be wide open for Mahoney. The lad looked better last week so let’s see if he can keep that going. He can blow hot and cold but he does have some decent skills. Like Kev, I don’t have Sky and wouldn’t have it for a penny a week so I will be at the Summerfield to watch it with three or four others. My thoughts are, Bart Romeo Hutch Pearce Cooper Murray Woods Molumby Jed Smith Mahoney Subs Sandford Fergie Williams Mitchell Bod AOB Bradshaw Should tear into them from the start and quick tempo throughout, they play on Monday at Boro, so could be a bit weary. Good chance of a win COYL shooting boots on. I will be going but cant see us getting a result there............. But don't listen to me , I never think we are gonna win.! I'll be there. It would be nice if we carried on like the last ten minutes when we played there last season. They Looked suspect at the back in the air against boro but dangerous up front so think we have a chance friday From what I saw last night we need to keep Joe Lolley their one creative player quiet. Should lick them easily Just got my ticket for Forest just over 900 sold so far . Train and hotel booked . 3 points and Hooters to celebrate . Come on you Lions . Predictions..... Nottingham Forest: 2 v 0 :Millwall Seeing as we have stopped firing on all cylinders! At least we have avoided the drop already. 1-1 5-0 wall Millwall 2 - 0 other team 2-1 to them This Friday we have the opportunity to go one step better than the 2 - 2 draw at the Den when we visit Notts Forest. Gary Rowett will be looking to get the Lions roaring, scoring and winning when Friday comes and inflict and get on track to deliver the form that saw us move off the bottom half of the table upon his arrival. We are 9 points behind 4th spot holding Forest and only 5 points behind 6th placed Preston. It is still all to play for. Forest themselves will also be looking to get back to winning ways to cement their playoff position and hope that Leeds form drops off too. We share the same form over the last five with three draws, a win and a loss. So anything is possible. Weather forecast is cold and clear for Friday for Saturday. Hopefully, Gary Rowett will get the tactics spot on! This Friday we have the opportunity to go one step better than the 2 - 2 draw at the Den when we visit Notts forrest THE TEAM NEWS MILLWALL Predicted line-up (3-4-2-1): Bialkowski; Hutchinson, Pearce, Cooper; Romeo, Woods, Molumby, M. Wallace; J. Wallace, Mahoney; Smith Unavailable: Fielding (Injured), Thompson (Injured), Brown (Injured), Doubtful: Leonard (Injured) Restricted in playing against parent club: Steele NOTTINGHAM FOREST Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Samba; Cash, Tobias Figueiredo, Worrall, Yuri Ribeiro; Watson, Alfa Semedo; Ameobi, Tiago Silva, Lolley; Grabban Unavailable: Darikwa (Injured), Da Costa (Injured), Sow (Injured) This will be our 71st game against the Tricky Trees and honours are ours with 26 wins to their 22. The bookies have Forest odds on or evens across the board to win. A draw is the next favoured result, whilst a win for us is least favoured. On the Pundit front, it is 60% who favour a Forest win, 35% see a draw and 5% see a Millwall win. A computer has determined a 2 - 0 Forest win. The odds for Forest to win are drifting. Millwall win or draw odds are shortening. The most popular bet is a Forest win at 24/19 Here are the odds: Millwall 5/2 Draw 23/10 Nottingham Forest 23/20 (William Hill) Odds aside, it is what you think that matters. So whatever your thoughts, do not leave it late to make your prediction to ensure that you are in with a chance to win the cash prize that is up for grabs at the end of the season. Additionally, there is a spot prize, sponsored by Millwall No One Likes Us Talkin! Broadcasting for the individual who can correctly predict the score and Millwall scorer or scorers for this match. If there is more than one winner the prize will be void and carried over to the next fixture. Also, there will be no prize if Millwall failed to score. So who will score for Millwall and what will be the result? It all happens as Friday night comes to the City Ground where the Lions face the Tricky Trees. Hopefully, we will see progress in the league.
