Sow has been very good and the stats back it up. Combative and gives others confidence to attack. I think his emergence has clouded the fans judgement of others in midfield though. Yates for example gets pellets now and for me is a little undeserved. Sow isn’t perfect though - cost is a goal v wba and should have had a few goals too.

Cash and Worrall have been playing for Forest for a long time now.  Yates hasn't.  He's showing promise.  He's being introduced off the bench.  As it should be.

Sow.  Talismanic.  Fulcrum shift.

This season depends on Sow's fitness.

We are not the finished article yet but we are assembling a team/squad to get out of this league. We bullied Cardiff on their own pitch last night, even without Sow. That display last night was exactly the type of display that is required to get out of this league. Can we manage it this season? We will see...

There is a long way to go yet in this league and we have seen how one game can turn challenging the top two to being a game away of dropping out the top 6. The best thing is we are there and fighting for it and it’s in our own hands rather than relying on others. Just feels better when there is a bit of breathing space between us and 7th.

Why do I look at our remaining away games and consider the more winnable than our home games.

If we can adjust our style of play at home to ensure we can win against the lower mid table sides, as well as continue our great record against the top teams then I think we can do it.

But need to find a way to win at home more consistently than we have been

On Saturday Blackburn play Swansea, Fulham play Preston and Brentford are away at Cardiff.

Things should be a little clearer this time next week.

I could not help but notice that Grabban missed an fairly easy chance again last night; that must have had is detractors rubbing their hands.

Another thing I could not help but notice was a stat mentioned after the game; Grabban was in possession of the ball for a grand total of 12 times during the game.

During those 12 times he missed a chance, set up Silva for his goal (that must have been one of the best one, two's of this or any other season) and then set up Semedo for a chance he should have scored from.

And yet such a fantastic return from so little possession gets no attention from some of our so called resident experts; I suppose that's what happens when you do not sign for Brentford!

Grabban is the best striker we have had at this Club this Century, and probably since PVH.

He's showing an unbelievable level of fitness this year. As games get to their latter stages he looks stronger because the defenders are tiring and he just goes on and on. He's invaluable to the way we play away.  Makes himself available for an out ball, holds the ball and brings others in. His game is so much more than goals and yet that's all people (sky pundits mostly) want to judge him by. We'd be mid-table without him this season.
