I agree though non of the Jan signings were ready to go out of the box, which is what we desperately needed in Jan, so I agree with the others that we were in a net worse position at the end of the window.

We can only judge that at the end of the season. Judging after a few games is silly.

EVERY team in the land makes good signings and signings that don't work out for whatever reason. Surely some don't think that it's only us? That's football. Players come and go all the time at every club. Even Cloughie signed some right crap at times.
Samba, Ribeiro, Sow, Silva, Ameobi have all been regular starters for us this season and have all played a huge part in getting us in a play off spot. They were all signed in the summer by our recruitement team. I heard a snipped on radio Nottingham a week or so ago that said Ameobi was persuaded to sign for us after a one on one meeting with Roy Keane. So it may be that this new recruitment team had nothing to do with spotting the potential of Sammy. It might have just been a straight old fashioned manager signing.

Maybe but however we want to dress it up Roy keane was not at Forest when Ameobi signed for us. So the final deal was done by the recruitment team at the time.
