I reckon 18/19 should do it?

7th place won’t get more than 72 IMO.

Bristol City are 7th, they have collected 18 points from their last twelve games. 

18 more points would put them on 71. 

they play Fulham (3rd), Blackburn (8th) and us (5th) in March. 

In April / May they also play Cardiff (10th), Swansea (9th) and Preston (6th).

I would have at a guess and say 73/72 and goal difference will be difference for 6th place this year. I hope we are not fighting it out for 6th spot on the last day but sadly I think we will be as is the forest way.

I don't mind fighting it out on the last day against Stoke.

Bristol City play Preston on the last day so something will have to give there.

It could be that all the 4 places will be determined on the last day. Maybe the same teams in contention but the finishing positions up for grabs. 

It's still questionable IMO if we can finish 6th. Our last 3 games are now LDD. If we lose or draw tomorrow, which is entirely possible, then that's 'slump' form. And with another tricky away game next week, we could be on a very slippery slope.

I hope that Bristol City and Preston won't both need a point each to guarantee a play off place because if they do then you can bet your life that it will be a draw.

Not at all, but having to scrape in, goes back to my whole point about the wasted January transfer window. Instead of going for it, seems we are now trying to hang on. 

Plus another 90 plus minutes without Grabban scoring, shame as we have no quality on bench to rest or replace him

Yep, you can put me down in that category. Because in the space of 2 weeks we've gone from out performing the team in 2nd, in fact making them look 2nd rate on our own pitch, to struggling to score against teams who should easily have been dispatched. I called Charlton at home a home-banker. That and QPR at home are that. Any team wanting to finish 2nd has to win those games at a canter. We couldn't and we're now looking at slump in results unless we go to Cardiff and win. So 6th looks like the challenge to me unless we string 4 or 5 wins together.

Oh, and it's not just us by the way. Brentford and Fulham have also let Leeds off the hook. Either could've nicked 2nd and put Leeds under real pressure but didn't.
