What happened in January will have no bearing on what would happen if we somehow went up. I don't think you can compare the two things. We would get about 200m just for being promoted for a start. It will be a whole different ball game to January.

Correct. The thing that gives me hope of a top 6 place is none of the teams are showing any consistency. It could go down to the last 90 minutes of the season.

Shows how tight it is. 

Leeds fans will be saying they were 11 points clear and almost let it slip.
WBA fans will be saying they have played poorly so far and should be further ahead in the table with the squad they have.
Fulham fans will think they should be in the top 2 with their excellent squad and the big money they’ve spent.

We are doing very well to be where we are.

I know this won't be a popular opinion but believe that if the table and/or the p!ay offs dictate that we are not promoted then it will be correct because we would not be good enough. If we can't beat the likes of QPR, Millwall, Cardiff and others then it's best that we stay in the Championship until we are. Even though I am totally supporting our owner and his set up I was very disappointed with our January efforts in the transfer window. It has left us short of the boost that would have seen us home. We are a very long way from Premiership quality sadly.

Forest will not face QPR, Millwall and Cardiff in the PL. They will face much better teams and if there is one thing we have learnt this season it is that we play much better against the better teams as we have a system that works better against better teams. With some smart additions in the summer I believe Forest have a great chance of surviving in the PL.

Just noticed that Bristol City play Preston on the last day, That ensures that at least one of them will drop points. How important COULD that be.

GariB, I love your optimism but I think of our current squad only 5 or possibly 6 if I include Watson (if he was able to find another year of his current form) of our squad could compete in the Premier. That's ok if the ambition is matched by performance in the transfer market - I struggle to be optimistic about that because there have been few signs of it so far. My 5 would be the back 4 and our talismanic keeper.
