All this talk from the pundits reminds me of the past.
When Cloughy's team kept winning and knocking on the door, Bob Wilson and co kept saying "The Bubble will burst"
They all had egg on their faces, come the end of the Season!

So that’s great for our counter attacking style away from home but it is also why we needed better quality to be able to do that as that is why we have been failing to win games at home.

One player I forgot is Muric. We didn’t send him back so guess he is still in squad. Surely should be back on bench (if his attitude has improved that is).

Sky Sports EFL pundit Andy Hinchcliffe has revealed his amazement that Nottingham Forest are still involved in the promotion race this season, dubbing Sabri Lamouchi's high-flying side as "not good enough".

The former Everton and Sheffield Wednesday man was speaking to Sky's EFL Podcast on Monday afternoon when he was asked to rate the chances of Premier League football returning to Trentside next season - but showed little faith in Lamouchi's men.

"I am amazed that they're still up there," he continued. "If you look at how they actually play, and all the science behind it, it is incredible that they are maintaining this top six challenge.

"I can't ever see them finishing in the top two. They are not consistent or good enough to do that''.

We've won the same number of home games as WBA (7) and 1 fewer than Leeds. Both have played 1 more home game than us.

Can someone please tell that to Goodman, Prutton and Hinchcliffe.

Correct me if I am wrong (I coud be)  but the only team we have lost to in the top 10 this season is West Brom and that was only beacuse Muric had a mare.

Without wanting to sound negative I do get his point. I think we've been a bit lucky this year. Not denying some excellent performances too eg brentford. 

Expected goals which is a vague chances to success ratio has us around 18th. 

All that said most teams that go up are lucky, just look at Sheff U and Norwich. We remind me of norwich, rode our luck in the early part winning a lot of games by 1 now we need to step it up and accelerate. Hopefully the greater options on the bench will help. I'm very hopeful of that painful few weeks in may when the playoffs are on

I don't think we have been lucky to be honest chap. What results do you think we've got that we weren't due?

We've been lucky in that Grabban and Watson have remained fit, but take key players out of other sides and they struggle too.

We keep it tight at the back and win games by the odd goal.  I accept that Grabban is scoring most of those odd goals but without him we probably wouldn't play the way we do. As he's remained fit, we've been able to play to plan A all season. 

Only Sheffield Wednesday have managed to beat us by a margin of more than 1 goal this season. That's excellence, not luck.

Ive yet to see any evidence including chances created stats etc that disproves the above statement. Including the Brentford rule that apparently states they should be awarded promotion by default on basis of 70% possession.

We are currently the 4th best team in the Championship. End of.

I can think of a few games where I have come away thinking we should have won that.

We are a good team and one day the Sky Pundits just might realise it.
