I was quite enjoying the discussion about Tyler Walker on the Transfer thread which for good reason was not the best place for it.
One post in particular was quite enlightening (Tricky) which compared the goal-scoring stats between Tyler and BA09.

BA09 (Apps/Goals):
Southend (L2) 2012-13 49/16
P'boro (L1) 2013-14 58/33
Total 107/49

TW (Apps/Goals):
Mansfield (L2) 2018-19 52/26
Lincoln City (L1) 2019-20 34/16
Total 86/42


There is nothing wrong with those stats.
We have a very good player in Tyler who has the opportunity to level up over the next three months.
Whether he stays with Forest or moves on I'm confident the club will get good value from him.

There was also the diving header, something I cannot recall seeing from a Forest striker for a while.
Yes, it's goals that will count, let's hope he gets the game time to score them.

Yes, Mark Robbins thinks very highly of him, as do the rest of the Coaching team at Coventry.

I would certainly question how highly he is rated at Forest; Lamouchi had all preseason to look at him and still sent him out on loan, despite the fact that we were desperately short in that area of the pitch.

He had the chance to take him back on the 16th January, but did not; this when Grabban had been seriously over played.

The timing of his return smacks of an after thought; time will tell.

Personally, I think his game time is going to be seriously restricted while we are in the position we are in; a lot will depend on whether Tyler can do enough in training to force his way forward.

I do not see too many changes to the team at all, not while we are challenging, despite the player we have signed.

I agree JCK - if Grabban stays fit he'll start every game, as of course he should. At least having Tyler and indeed Nuno in the squad give us *some* back up. Hopefully they'll both grasp whatever chances come their way.

I can't do anything about that McDurban, it's all done by times and dates. I moved all the Tyler posts into one thread to do you all a favour. The first Tyler post (in the transfer thread) was made by Tricky BEFORE you started Tyler's own thread. So when I moved the Tyler posts from the transfer thread into Tyler's own thread Tricky appears as the thread starter based on time and date. I cannot change that.

Having Walker back gives us more options. Simple.

We now have the luxury of choosing a front three combination from Lolley, Ameobi, Walker, Da Costa, Grabban, Diakhaby.

Not bad options in my opinion.

We've finally got some sharp teeth up front. It's unfortunate that the first home game is such an important/difficult one. It might have been a chance to try to be more offensive. Give Walker some time maybe.

i think Tylers goal tonight will probably mean more than all the others he has scored, extremely loud roar as well apparantly in front of the Trent End, a bit like a new striker scoring on his debut, i think Tyler could be very useful, pleased he is back and in the squad
