We have a great opportunity but the current market is possibly the worst jan window in years for availability and competition for what we need.

Also a reflection on how much better now the players need to be in order to improve us compared to previous seasons.

Our recruitment for the players to improve Forest is going to have to be very focused and laser precise.

The opportunity that presents itself must be matched by ambition by recruitment to attain the quality players necessary.

That's football.  Nobody believed Calderwood when he said there were enough games to claw it back against Doncaster when getting promoted from Division 3.

So the data stats are in again for the championship and at current it is estimated 78 points required for top 6 and 92 for top 2. Personally, I see them as far too high considering no one is breaking away not even the top half is breaking away from mid-table teams. Everyone is beating everyone in this league. However on current form Forest should hit between 77 and 80 points at the end of the season.

Given games of this nature before...ie 'this game really counts.'  Forest have bottled them.  Many, many times over the last 20 years.

The one that stood out as different was then Maji' blew WBA away with his wonder goal to put Forest 2nd.

The result is all important.  But if Forest can win with a 'to the sword' performance, even better.  But i'd take Forest scraping it with the 'same luck' that got Reading a point last time.

But there are no easy games in the Champ'.  Luton, Reading.  They're all tough.  No guarantees.

Forest need to turn up tonight. Win the midfield battle and take their chances.

Unless we recruit well I’m a little pessimistic about our chances. We have to be top 2, we bottle too many important games to get through the playoffs and IMO the current squad is not quite good enough. Decent window and top 2 is possible there is still everything to play for.
