Message To All COYR Forum Readers

Hey, guys!

Long time fan from Norway here. Been on forums since the 606 days, and this is is surely my fav one these days - no bickering and some good posters. 
Guilty of being a lurker myself, as I obviously have little connection to Nottingham. But having said that, I am a hard core fan. Have probably just missed two or three games the last 20 years. Colin Fray I love you, haha. 
Just been to City ground once, the 2-2 draw with Ipswich back in 2014. What a great experience that was. Hope to get over one more time before the new city ground is completed. And I will try to post more frequently in the future. 
Thanks to the admins for the great job you do on this forum, and thanks for all the good posts, I truly enjoy reading them. COYR!

Welcome! So if you watched Ipswich in 2014 you saw the last kick equaliser from Antonio then, that was very satisfying. Unfortunately you also witnessed the Forest defence making Darryl Murphy look like Ronaldo. That display was probably why we ended up buying him a few years later.

Yeah, I sat right behind the away dugout, so had quite good view of Murphy playing. If my memory serves me well, he operated on the wing cutting in, but I might be wrong there. Anyways, remember he played well that day. And of course I remember the Antonio equalizer. Such a relief, especially as my friend, who traveled with me, is an Ipswich fan. I also remember Tyrone Mings playing well at left back for them. Good player, but I've lost all respect for him after he stepped on Oliveira's face.

I`m in support of the rule - no ones expecting gossip from every poster ( good job ) but even if its just a quick opinion on something why not just post it and contribute to the forum. This is he only place where I feel you can do that without any squabble or clique type atmosphere and if Sniffer/Dunc put all that time into moderating its down to them that the forum encourages that debate and great job done on that front.

Thanks AC. That is what I am trying to create. A nice calm relaxing atmosphere where posters can feel free to post in the knowledge that nobody is going to jump on them and start abusing them. Internet bullying is well and truely alive on some other forums but it will never ever be allowed to happen on here.

So to all you readers who are thinking to take the plunge, you can post your views and opinions without any fear.

From the 1st January to coincide with the new year and the opening of the transfer window I will be making some changes to the forum. I have received a few complaints from posters about the amount of people who view the forum on a regular basis but never ever post anyhing. So to all the viewers, you need to start contributing by making a post every now and then otherwise your account will probably be deleted.

Also from the 1st January the forum will be visible to registered users only. So all people who curretly visit the forum as a guest will need to register (it's quick, simple and free) to continue to view and use the forum.

Thanks to all of you who post on COYR. You make this forum what it is. Together we will continue to go from strength to strength. COYR!

Sounds fair to me. Like someone else said it's a forum not a newspaper.

Just to put this out there. Posters don't need to be informative. It's all about opinions, discussion, banter etc. People who are not well informed or who cannot get to matches for whatever reason are most welcome on here.
