No ones hanging him out but hes regressed massively. If it werent for his price tag and because theres no viable alternative he'd be no where near the team, like Bostock isnt. I was his biggest fan but the team looks hindered when he plays. Got to play him in his best position and see if he hinders the team. Playing as a winger he always will do. All of his best performances have been as a 10. We have to play him in that position or just do not play him.

Its chicken and egg though. Do we change the formation to accomodate a player out of form so he can try to find some? It'd ruin our season to do that imo so we cant afford to do it.

We dont actually have to change formation to fit him in, were playing with 3 none creative centre midfielders and wonder why were struggling at home. Play your most creative player in his correct position that he enjoys and give him the freedom to do his stuff, we may not be having the debate. You look at our creative stats per game for the season and we currently lie 20th. We will not keep getting away with it in my opinion.

Not seeking to defend Carvalho but just a few thoughts:
Injured, missed a good slug of pre season.
Has started just 2 matches this season in his preferred position ( Swansea & Stoke ) - all other appearances have been off the bench, out wide or playing alongside Silva.
Seems to me that the lad has just not got started this season for various reasons - we are, in my view, just not seeing the best of him.
Not sure that can happen unless or until he is given a run in the side playing centrally behind Grabban. Not going to happen - I suspect that ( regrettably ) we’ve seen the last of him in the garibaldi red.

Agree 100%. At this point in the season, with all these games coming thick and fast, the results are all that matter, the rest is just noise.
I enjoyed the goal, I enjoyed the penno save and the final whistle...oh and for those not at the game, I enjoyed the "All Carvalho" build up to Grabbans chance where he 1st time balled his way through (was it 3 1-2s?) to rip Wigan open. Yes yes yes I know it's not enough for 13 mill or to warrant starting slot etc.. but it was still a cut above anything else we saw today (until that kid came on for them no 38 J Geldherd?).
We won, we're doing better than usual in December and Sabri has rested a couple for Blackburn.

We were played off our own pitch by the team planted bottom of the league. Thats after being beaten 0-4 at the last home game and a poor draw agaisnt a rubbish boro team before that. These home performances are pathetic. Its just dreadful. Im not going to let a lucky 1-0 win cloud my judgement. Something has to change. Bang on the money, another shocking home performance. We have been found out and things need changing preferably players.

What we have here is how the team is without Sow.
The performances vs Hull and Wigan were night and day. It starkly highlights Forest's problem. Sow was a big part of the charge to the top 6 and since his injury Forest have got progressively worse without him. Sow. Powerful. Penetrating. The only real players of 'that class' we have? Samba and Grabban. i.e.. Battle ready. Along the spine of the team. And it's telling without Sow in midfield Forest seem a shadow of the team they are with him.
In short, Forest need to bring in about 5 players. Via the transfer market. To force the encumbants, who have no real competition, to buck up. If they can bring in 'Sow/Samba/Grabban' class for those 'five' positions...then Forest will be transformed.
Once. And. For all.

Sabri desperately needs more players. Good ones too, not a bunch of youngsters from prem youth teams. A bit of ambition by the owner now will amke the difference.
We're pushing our luck at the moment.

The Coach is decent. But he's also a 'lucky' manager as the save from Samba bailed Forest out of a poor performance.
But some say there is no such thing as luck...
Desperately. Yes.
Sow is injured a lot. A shame. Because he's a class above most of the Forest team. The Coach desperately needs more players of that quality in the threadbare squad areas to give him the options to win. Hard to be less predictable when you're shuffling the players who are probably a 9th placed team without certain players. Eg. Sow.
As for the Owner? It's that Nickey Shorey moment....again...isn't it?

We weren’t good but some of the comments tonight well over the top in my opinion.
To give some perspective please read this quote.
"I don't want to accept it but at the end of the day I told the guys to be disappointed but take this as a blessing because we didn't get big-time punished. We didn't match them in the majority of the game”.
Lamouchi?
No that was Slaven Bilic after top of the table West Brom played Wigan a couple of weeks ago. Just maybe in the Championship any opposition can give you a tough game.
