Hull City v Nottingham Forest

Absolute monster performance from the lads today. To a man they rolled up their sleeves and won ugly. No fancy dan work, just simple stuff, get a goal, dig in, stay tight. Absolute ugly game to watch but just what we needed to get the show back on the road.

Praying Sow recovers for Sunday, he's massive for us in the middle.

Great win, because I honestly didn't see it coming.

Having Semedo and Sow together again made such a difference to us in midfield, really hope Sow is ok.

Phew... that was much better... yes Grabban will probably grab thd headlines for us, but it was all due to defence returning back to be solid.
Chema practically nullified Bowen, especially in the second half, Cash nullified the Pole and both Figi nd Worrall not a foot wrong.
Midfield fought well , but J m sorry to say that creates nothing. Grabban second goal looked so easy, because he is the only one that hits the face of goal from ouf players. Yates was on his own at the edge of the penalty area nd his shot ends up near the corner flag!!! What these guys do in training all week ? These are professional players nd the least you expect is that from 12 yards st least they can high the face of goal.
Apart from that, a much needed win for all the club, results elsewhere Wenger for us too, now we just need to win at home...but we need some more quality from midfield up, some of the players are good fighters but far from what needed to achieve promotion.

Sounded like Semedo did really well? He really is an enigma isn’t he.

He made a good contribution today. He's gradually getting back up the level he achieved before his injury. Looks like he's the type of player who needs a run of games to get going. It's good to see him back.

Sow is so good, imagine he sits on Sunday given the opposition and then hopefully is fit enough for New Years day

For a moment there, I thought you were actually happy. Luckily your main paragraph put me straight. 2-0 win away after a poor run, enjoy it.

Great result. 7th on Boxing day, been here twice before and both managers were gone by mid-Jan.

Let's hope that lesson's been learned and now we move on to bigger and better.

It feels different this time though and we've even won a game in December. The next two games are going to be interesting. Wigan will park the bus, not sure about Blackburn.
