Back on topic, brilliant to be just 3 points off the autos with a game in hand a third of the way through the season.

Still generally 6th or 7th best in promotion, top 6 betting markets etc. This despite our current 5th place - and 4th if we gain a draw from our home game in hand.
Suggests that we continue to run under the radar / be underrated. Long may they view us in this way.

The bookies are rarely wrong. I am made up at our start but the Xg stats etc don’t make good reading. We are very efficient and when we get it right look fantastic. The goal at Fulham was one of the best team goals I’ve seen. Our away form is superb and we are well set up. I just think we are over achieving a bit from what I’ve seen.
One thing is that when we do decide to press high we are very good at it. Grabban should second goal at Fulham and the one against derby were very similar. We set traps.
The fly in the ointment was the performance against Hull where they did a job on us. We will struggle when teams copy this.

We are right in the thick of it with a deep quality squad that will add even more depth and quality in January.

I feel similar to this but then I watch West Brom struggle vs Barnsley or another rival grind out a loss. I don’t think we’re amazing but also neither are the competition. Plus I’m this league being competitive is worth more than being amazingly dominant. Every game is a challenge, out strategy so far has been pretty effective. 

Feels like we’re reasonably well placed, first 11 starting to settle. Room for improvement on the wings and in central midfield although silva has stepped it up a bit last few weeks. Need someone else to step up and offer some goals to take the limelight off lolley’s lack of production, some better crossing/shooting would be welcomed

Think he was recommend to Oly not Forest..even so, with those type of players being offered you'd have to think ones round the corner for us

my thinking is that there is no point depending on the January transfer window, it may have little, or even nil or even a negative influence on the season.

there's 9 games to go prior and a couple of games early in Jan that can't be influenced, so 11 games 33 points upto the 11 Jan, another 3 games upto the 25 Jan, often the Jan signings arrive far nearer the end than the beginning, so could be 42 points before new signings make an impact .. for better or worse

From history, if we have a good December, we have a good season, it is rammed full of fixtures .. 6 with a game just prior on 30 Nov and after on 1 Jan, almost 8 league games in a month. If the team does well, they will come out of December like a band of brothers and may not naturally take to new faces coming in.

If December is an absolute disaster, would a couple of flagship signings be able to get upto speed and turn the season around? Are there any good signings available in Jan? Either way, i would say don't pin your hopes on January, i think it is more about how could the existing squad develop and progress, especially during the 9 games in 36 days in and around December.

Personally i am happy to stick with what we have and enjoy the journey ... hopefully ...

He played for Solksjaer from the age of 16? Given United are trying to build with youth, I wonder why they didn’t snap him up? Does the lad hate United from his Leeds association too much or has Ole dropped a bollock?
