I’m not the one making ridiculous statements. A foul is a foul, end of. Sadly in modern football it is the norm to go down when touched. The shirt pull was clear and a minor foul. However, the way he went down probably made the refs decision to not give the foul as it was a little embellished. Guess that makes you both right. Commentators on Sky seemed to think it was a foul, though not 100% on whether in or out as it may have started out and continues in.
The way our day went the pen probably would have gone wide anyway. We just don't win at Wigan.

Sammy is having a great season so far, I thought he would be playing second fiddle to Uncle Albert but is head and shoulders (literally and metaphorically) above him so far.
If he carries on like this he will clearly get a contract extension.

Couldnt believe he was taken off on Saturday. His ball retention ability was badly missed and imo that contributed the last 10 mins of pressure that the sheep had.
I bet they were so pleased to see the back.of hin.

A nightmare to play against and watch as well. One minute he is great the next bambi on ice with legs all over the place. Power, pace and direct then the next time he gets the ball its like a different player. I would truly hate to play against him as he is so unpredictable reminds me of that Newcastle player from Columbia, Asprilla wasn't it?

I get your point, but Asprilla could bicycle kick it into the top corner from 30 yards out, not sure Sammy will ever do that. Maybe he is a bit more like a forward thinking Guy Moussi, on his day our best player, when not his day, the opponent’s best player!
Agree he was excellent on Saturday particularly first half was our only threat.

Sabri brings him off at 70 mins in virtually every game.
there has to be a reason - I’m guessing his outputs drop at that point. They measure everything these days.
