What a character this guy is. Loved it last night when he collasped holding his ankle and then threw the ball out of play allowing Forest to regroup and take a breather for the final few minutes.

I can't lie, I hate that stuff and if it were opposition I would implore the ref to make the keeper go off and wait to be called on like an outfield player. Being brought up on Cloughies standards, I just can't condone it. I love Samba otherwise.

Personally I have no problem with it, it's part of the game whether we like it or not. I call it being streetwise, it could have been the difference between winning or drawing.

He didn't like players conning refs though, hence his hatred of DirtyLeeds back in the day. Made Keane stop going on at refs, publically dug out Lee Chapman for diving. I think being physical and intimidating, especially back then, was part of the game. I do remember him ripping into Kenny for a sneaky headbutt vs Aresenal. I also remember being a ball boy in front of main stand when Jimmy Case tackled Nigel from behind and to paraphrase what came out of Cloughies mouth: "Oi Jimmy you useless b@$tard, lets see you try that from the front, you wouldnt be brave enough to tackle properly would you you useless coward"  I was in awe. Without wishing to sound sexist, it is a mans game (on the pitch) or at least it was. I feel the same when Cash dives. Perhaps I am harping back to different times.  Not all changes have been for the good in my opinion. Refs are crap but who would want to ref now now half the players on the pit h are just attempting to con you? For me it's the worst part of our beautiful game.

We also have to credit whoever came in, ran the rule over the Man City/ Kosovo goalkeeper and decided we needed better.
And then knowing where to go and get better.

Think he’s great, love the confident way he controls his area. Do agree about the time wasting though, do not like to see Forest players doing it.

We were right under the cosh when Samba went down clutching his ankle against Stoke, we could have easily conceded again at that time. He went down, we got a breather, some instructions from the touchline and regrouped for the final 5 minutes. If I was his manager I would have given him a big hug and a pat on the back just like Lamouchi did.

I dont like to see time wasting / game management either but its what successful teams do.
