Thing is this season we are winning even when we aren’t at out best plus we are fighting right till the final whistle which is a massive plus for me, how many games are won or lost in the final 5 minutes.

I think we have a squad good enough for playoffs at least. If our away form continues top two may be possible, trying not to get too excited but at least it’s all looking positive at the moment.

Still a long way to go in the season and i remember when SP was the manager and we started off like a house on fire with us all thinking yip we are going to do it this year. The real test will be how we come back from having a bad run which happens to all teams and how quickly we stop the slide. If we can do that then i will be thinking we can go up but right now it's every game as it comes and enjoy it.

Agree, we're currently as good as anyone and we seem to be on track based on the Billy Davies 'judge us after 10 games' rule. But the true test comes after Christmas IMO. Can the club sustain good results and player confidence when injuries and suspensions take their toll?

Ignoring the Arsenal game, the last 2 league games against Barnsley & Stoke have been poor-ish performances IMO when we've looked questionable for large parts of the games. But we won them. But if the poor performances continue, then it's only a matter of time till a defeat or 2 arrive and then we'll really see how good we are.

Immediate test tomorrow night is can we get results without Dawson (best player for me so far this season). We couldn't last year.

My immediate reaction is yes we can. We beat Derby without him in the team and we beat Stoke without him in the team too for the majority of the match. I think it's important to remember that when we lost Dawson last season we also lost Figs at the same time. It was a double blow.

I hope you're right of course and I take your point about Figs and I would say that the instability with the manager was also a major factor at that time.

Re the Stoke game, did you notice that we conceded the last goal via a set play? I did wonder at the time if we would've conceded that goal had Dawson been there. We're considerably weaker at set plays in both boxes with Dawson out.

Only time will tell, I think a run of games for chema or fig will do them good. And hopefully give us confidence, we can survive without dawson.

And surely that's were Milo comes in?  To replace Dawson?  

Dawson has been game managed a bit.  But I did start to wonder if he had been playing too many games.  But he's been imperious for Forest.  How do you leave him out?  

And the value he's added in terms of bring Worrall along?  Not only worth millions in terms of Worrall's development but it's brought Worrall further on as a player for Forest.  He seems more focused, more consistent and more mature.

Chema should be ok.  But Forest got done by a cross into the box.  Didn't clear it.  So, where's Milo?

Big Ben is injured.  It wasn't so long ago it would have been hard to think of the Forest back line without Big Ben and Milo and they seemed like set piece monsters.  No-nonsense.  Exactly the kind of players Forest had needed for years at CH.  Perhaps, like Pants, they are part of the old guard.

Dawson got injured about the same time last season after a great run in the side.  Forest were doing well.

Hope he comes back real soon.  But it's not like Forest don't have options.  Milo seems to have fallen off the map.  What's the problem there?
