i remember those floods, around end of 1999, i lived in Burton Joyce then and there was alot of water, i played on those pitches behind the city ground in similar conditions to that a few months later on a sunday morning.

always amazed me how the City Ground didn't flood, the water just seemed to get higher and higher for a few days, i think meadow lane was 3 ft under
