Asking a player to work hard every game is the bare minimum we should accept, you can have all talent in world but if don’t put in a shift then goes to waste
Against WBA he had 22 touches, 3 of which I think were kick offs.
He played terrible first half but way we were set up again means he doesn’t get many chances.
I just don’t think he suits playing up front on his own in that system.
He managed to get his goal, lucky yeah but in right place at right time.
But come on should we really applauding him for working hard?

Just go back to pages 11 to 13 of this thread, he went from going through a lean spell to be widely acclaimed.
With the right service he’ll be absolutely fine for us again.

Why not?
Playing up front as the lone striker is a thankless task these days; it is far removed from the days when the Centre forward did nothing until the ball got into the box.
The one big thing he did yesterday which he failed to do against WBA was hold the ball up and bring other players into the game; he got better as the game went on

I’ve always liked Grabban feel he was hard done to last season as he was carrying an injury, he’s a great player, if we can get the ball to him the way he likes it he will score us goals I have no doubt.
Just praying he can stay fit.

i feel bad for suggesting not playing Grabban ... or any striker for that matter .. against Fulham, just thinking he would be so starved of service he would spend the afternoon jogging from 1 fulham CB to the other and looking up at the sky watching the football sailing over to far flung sections of Craven Cottage.
anyway, Grabbans goals were sensational for us today, Ameobi's intercepton directing the ball to Grabban and Robinsons cross were excellent service but Grabban did his work well and was in the right places at the right time, finished off those fine plays, amazing day

credit to Grabban but that first goal was a thing of true beauty, 7 Forest players involved, the very very shallow press, the swashbuckling and scything through their midfield, Robinsons cross was like a spear through the heart via the corrider of uncertainty, precisely to Grabban, really enjoyed that goal, not sure where the Fulham RB was, is it true he was beamed up temporarily to the starship Enterprise?
