And don’t have lots of ££ they know we want to offload and if they wait until last couple of days will prob get players with around a 25% contribution to wages.

5 days left, and with only bridcutt featuring once in the U23s first 3 games those seemed surplus must know that to continue their careers that a move would be in their best interests. I wonder how many have spoke to their agents about pay cuts and what other changes to contracts they are on that would make them attractive to at least those in the top half of league 1? It really shows the kinds of players we signed that they would rather sit and take money then rather play the game they profess to love.

I don't love my particular occupation. So if someone said to me that I could go and work elsewhere in a crapper environment for half as much money I'd tell them to do one and sit tight. I'm sure there are lots of footballers who feel the same too.

By my reckoning Lamouchi has used 22 players in all competitions so far
Samba Muric Ribeiro Figs Worrall Jenkinson Robinson Dawson Chema Watson Carvalho Cash Bostock Semedo Ameobi Sow Lolley Silva Adomah Grabban Mir Appiah In addition Smith, Milosevic and Mighten have been unused subs (reckon Mighten will go on loan). Yates and Benalouane injured and presumably to come back in gives us a squad of 26. Leaves a bomb squad of Pantillimon Hefele Yacob Bridcutt Ariyibi Murphy Cummings Clough I think one of Milosevic or Benaloane is surplus to requirements too, both are well down the pecking order. A few days to move on 8 or 9.

We should have loaned them all to Bury and continued to pay their wages:

We are not the only team paying players but have no intention to play them. If every club in championship lent Bolton and Bury a player then they could continue until the EFL sort out this mess.

I feel very sorry indeed for the situation Bury have found themselves in but the integrity of the league is paramount and at some stage someone has to say enough's enough. Same for Bolton. They have no players - and are currently making a mockery of the competition by playing kids.

Particularly if the alternative is you barely have to do your job and still get paid, like the current status quo! |
