Brum Pre-match
Not really an active lot when it comes to forums it seems and most of the comments are all about them hoping for a draw in our match on Saturday.
Think the first goal will be important in this one. They've not got off to a great start so if we can score early the natives will become restless.
Think it'll be a tight one, blues to take the lead and then get pegged back 1-1
You just know how this one will go - Rafa Mir, late winner for them - 2-1.
2-1 Forest unfortunately. DVB Lolley to score at least one of the Forest goals (again)
I would be overjoyed with a point.
Dominated in our first game but scoring a goal that would probably happen once in every ten thousand games. Played well in parts in our second game without creating a glut of good scoring chances whilst being opened up quite regularly in our own defence. Both our goals coming from set plays. Forest to win 2-0

Some post match comments from the Blues fans:
Played some decent stuff at times. Cant defend, no penetration, one up top, no pace & playing all our football infront of them. It dont look good.
And we invested in players to get that bad too. Takes some doing.
It should have been six or seven, Forest will settle for three.
This coach and Dong will take us down.
Well that was sterile garbage. Playing the ball sideways or in triangles ending up where the ball started is hardly attractive football, especially when it is eventually launched down the pitch.
Cannot believe the uninspiring football we have played so far this season.
Forest faster, stronger and know what they're doing. We've been outfought and out-thought from start to finish.
Was that the 'new' style of football we were promised?
Unless we change our style of play then all we will do is play boring and toothless football in front of teams, until we make a mistake and they score.
Until the first goal went in we were doing ok. Hadnt created anything but neither team looked great with the game balanced.
Forest take a free kick short to lolley who smashed it in. It had a lot of curl on it and dipped just infront of camp. Dont think he was to blame for that one.
1-0 forest feckin lolley again.
Always lolley ffs, against the run of play imo, undeserved.
Dont recall us troubling their keeper even once.
I saw the highlights and they should have beat us 7-0.
Lolley tearing us a new one.
If Lolley is able to raise his game so much just because he's playing against Blues it doesn't say much for his professionalism. Is he just walking through the other gamaes?
Anyone who says the scoreline flatters them is kidding themselves.

Some interesting and fair comments on the whole but this one interested me.
He was much better than what we have seen so far this season, perhaps a shame we didn’t play Birmingham on the opening day.
He actually crossed the ball, and crossed it well, a few times yesterday.

Amazing how many of those comments could have been us complaining of Warburton football a couple of years ago. Trying to play pretty football but no end result or goal threat.

I think it's down to confidence, he hasn't been bad, just not on the level he reached last year. Once he scored, he probably relaxed and in the Brum fans words "tore them a new one". Long may it continue.

His form fell away dramatically after his inspirational performance at villa park last season. Suggests his mental attitude plays a significant role in his performances. To be fair though it must be hard being the club's best player and consistently being brilliant. Im not sure I'd have it in me (if i had the technical ability of course). I doubt he'd be playing for us in the 2nd division much longer if he put on the villa show every week.

3 things that have been seriously lacking ... scoring from free kicks, scoring from corners and most of all scoring from crosses ... long may it continue, get these all happening and there could be a few easy wins and key players rested

I think that’s an excellent summary of him.

Fair comments from both Birmingham and Forest fans in this thread in my opinion.

Some prematch comments from the Charlton fans, they don't seem very confident.
Forest looked good V Brum...could of easily won 5/6-0. Maybe it was because Brum were shit but judging by the highlights I think we are in for a very tough game...2-2.
Vaguely remember in 1998 we were top after two games and went to Forest midweek.
Our bubble was well and truly burst by a four nil defeat.
It was down hill from there and we were relegated.
So on that and Forest's ability to score goals our first defeat in the league this season beckons.
0 - 2.
Comfortable home win 4-0.
I'm going for a 0-2 win to Forest to bring us back down to earth.
My first game of the season, so we are bound to lose!
0-2.
Can't see Forrest sitting back and reckon it will be an open game. They demolished Brum on Saturday and missed so many chances. Be amazed if we stop them scoring. Another good point would suite me.
Difficult to call this one, a win would mean we are in an even better place than I expected, a draw would still be excellent for our new team.
Expecting a narrow 1-2 defeat or a 2-2 draw.
I think Forest will be Grabban the points from this one unfortunately - 1-2.

Strange comments above, Charlton have made a very strong start to the season but they don't seem very confident at all.

If we win, we’ll be on the same points as them so can’t see why they aren’t that confident
