Lascelles is faster, stronger, better in the air and a better distributor.

I think what people are doing is defending him against unjust and unnecessary criticism that is all.

Nobody is saying that he is the next Bobby Moore.
He was targeted by Leeds and got exposed quite badly by Bamford. If Bamford had his scoring boots on he could easily have had an hat trick. I predict he will get exposed again in the next few weeks and the opposition will not be so profligate.Hope to be proven wrong.

Did he steal your wife or something?

I am starting to think there is something in this.

If you are right then I’m sure people will give you credit.

There have been two games since Leeds, time to move on, it’s Charlton next and despite the negative aspects to his game he deserves to start at The Valley?

Not sure about better in air and stronger . Lascelles had many a dodgy game playing for us.

Something in what. I merely think that if we want to get promoted we will need better in that position. Is it not possible to express that view without "Something in that".

Why didn't you just say that in the first place then? I think people would have accepted that. We all have our opinions.

To be fair to Worrall. Bamford gave Fig' (previously classy performer) a torrid time last season.

On the other side of the coin...

Steve Hodge, 'Forest, for me, are still lacking that 6.4 man mountain who can just head everything. Though they do have Dawson.' Paraphrase.

And at their best, for me, Big Ben and Milo were far more 'no-nonsense' regarding aerial balls and set pieces. Though you can't argue with a clean sheet though Forest are defending and pressing far more as a unit which helps the defenders. In short, Worrall and Dawson are the new Des Walker and Dawson. It's come full circle for Dawson to school his young apprentice in Worrall. (The academy product who is playing alongside his hero, the former academy product.) Fate amuses herself with whimsy.

Last December with the CH crisis, you'd have said we'd have Big Ben, Milo, Fig, a new left sided CH, Worrall and Dawson at CH? I'd have torn your arm off. A mixture of youth, experience, quality, balance and depth!

However, one of those is injured. Another injury would take Forest down to four. (See what happened to Dawson Sat/Tues/Sat'ing it last year. ie. We didn't have the option to rotate last season. This season we do.) You need that depth in CH (and midfield.) Positions on the pitch that take a lot of hammer and the players like wise.

Sabri Lamouchi seems happy to stick with the guys who are currently ‘wearing the shirt’ - hence Daws & Worrall getting the nod. Given our surfeit of centre backs you wouldn’t want to pick up an injury however slight - the replacement would be likely to then keep the shirt barring a catastrophe. Hence Chema & Figs may have to be patient but could anticipate a run in the side once given a start.

Players respect that in a coach.  You have to be patient earn your place.  You have to respect the guy that's done that.  And if you get your chance?  Take it. You will have earned it to by performing on the training ground. By performing well for the shirt.  You have to earn the right to keep your place.  A team has to be built on respect.  And then players will know where they stand. Bide their time. Take their chance. Keep the shirt. It elevates the performance level of the team and squad.

Cash and Muric, for example weren't dropped after the 1st game.  (Undone by 1 fluke goal and one offside goal.) They got a chance to step up.  As did the whole team.  Against the 'Much fancied ourselves' Leeds.

I think that's more likely to breed harmony in the dressing room.  Trust in the players.  Trust in the manager's judgement.  Play for the badge.

Passion.
