He won 18% of Aerial Duals last year, he doesn't jump 80% of the time.

He had a blinder that game v WBA away last year. Pressed the defence brilliantly. I think the main problem is his languid style makes him appear like he’s not working hard enough. Personally think he’s good if you get his pressing game right. Lack of service was main issue Saturday. Although I do think his lack of ability in the air is not ideal. We do seem to have signed some big blokes though so maybe that won’t be an issue

There was a cross from the left first half Saturday for a good chance to score at the back stick but he just waited behind the defender and hoped he missed his header. He didn’t risk getting a knock. Antonio puts that in. Soudani. Grabban wants things on a plate, on his terms.

Watson was giving out to him telling him to show for the ball I don't blame grabban though he was feeding off scraps

Great finisher, great signing for the setup AK wanted to play & with Carva behind him.
Is that still relevant? Debateable. My biggest arguement for keeping Grabban would be that we'll probably only replace him with crap anyway lol.

I'm not sure getting rid of a striker who has scored 37 goals in last two seasons is the way forward? Poor service coupled with a poor performance made for a bad day at the office for sure.

See where you are coming from Zico when you put it like that but the point for me is what can Grabban offer to the team THIS season? New manager, slightly different system, Grabban one year older and had injury problems etc etc.
It's about the here and now and I am not convinced.

Grabban is one of the best finishers in the league. He also thrives when he’s the main man. He built up a good understanding with Carvalho last season, and there’s no reason why he won’t build up an understanding with Silva, Semedo, Bostock etc
If we’d signed him on deadline day most fans, other than the perpetual moaners, would have been impressed. Is there a player we could have realistically signed who would be an improvement?

Grabben will have Bostock Semedo Silva Joao and lolly to play off ok we looked a little turgid last week but its 1 game in with a new manager when they start firing it could be amazing to watch all good passers of the ball and good at pressing.
