I think on Worrall the errors come from the fact he is still learning and really hasn't had that guidance through games that will help him improve. I got to see a lot of him last year and it was very mix and match (which you would expect). However the mistakes he kept making were the same ones and they always came at important periods in the game.
Part of me wonders if he just hasn't been coached correctly as in someone surely should be saying next time in this situation do this instead. Or if someone is telling him then why in the heat of a game does he revert back to type.
He is a good player but right now there are a lot of young defenders who have stepped up and improved their game with some getting big money moves from putting in just steady performances. Joe on the other hand is becoming very inconsistent and either needs to go on loan again and get more game time or be stripped back and coached for a season while accepting it might take a while before he plays. I would prefer for him to stay and be given high intensive coaching.

Your reasoning make a lot of sense Mcforest. Let's hope he gets the guidance he needs to develop into a proper CB at our club and not on loan somewhere else. At least it seems that Sari rates him and wants him to stay at the club.

Worrall's all round game is improving but there are still serious flaws evident, the standard of his passing being the most worrying.
Personally, I think he needs another year out on loan; this time at a better level of football.

But stats from last season tells a different story. He actually had a Pass Accuracy rate of 88,1% which is extremely good.

My theory is that it is a case of if you tell a community enough times that a it is the truth then it becomes the truth independent of it actually being the truth. We as a Forest community, has seen it many times. The harassment of Osborn is one example and Murphy is another unfortunate player that has been made to deal with the wrath of ignorant football supporters. Hash words but the truth (or is it actually the truth or maybe something I'm led to believe :D ).
Either way, Worrall will prove you all wrong of that I'm certain.
So because we don’t share the same view i’m ignorant?
Let me start by stating that harassment and pissing on people is not OK whether it's done at work, in school, in your private life or on social media. It just isn't acceptable. Full stop.
Now, when it comes to opinions I have no issue with different ones. What I don't like is when people have opinions they cannot back up with any sensible argument. It's like saying that this and this player is S**t because he is S**t.
So the answer to my question was yes?
I’ve backed up my opinion of both throughout. Regarding Osborn I also take into account the issues about his conduct under Karanka off the pitch. I choose to believe them, which is my choice, but comes from a place of my own personal interaction with him on occasion.
I think Worrall at the moment is pretty average based upon what i’ve seen in the flesh, his partnership with Milo on Friday was concerning. We leaked goals when he was partnered with Fox too.
That’s just my opinion.

Stats are fairly meaningless, particularly passing stats.
Players can rack up pretty good stats by playing a shed load of short passes.
How many of the 11.9% failures led to goals?
In the three games I have seen him play pre season, his passing has fluctuated between moderate and dreadful; he just does not look comfortable on the ball.
Against Palace his all round game was good but his passing was shocking

If your conclusion is yes then I think you misunderstood something. From what you write I believe you can back up your opinion with some solid arguments. If so then I have no issue with your opinion.

Osborn’s Conduct under Karanka????
I’d moan if I was made to play this n weakest position and be targeted by opposition.

If / when Benny’s conduct is in question we might as well just call it a day!

I guess those pass statistics are inflated by the fact he played for rangers who probably didn’t get attacked much against the weaker teams in Scotland.
By worrying that Milo only had 75% pass completion if we’re saying he’s even worse than Worrall hypothetically then we’re in trouble if we’re going to attempt to pass out from the back. How’s figs at passing? Don’t want another warburton situation where the defenders/keeper were unable to pass the way he wanted but he did it anyway!

I suspect having a keeper who is comfortable with the ball at his feet will help. It should bring more confident to the back four when in possession.

One of the issues with the passing stats for the centre halves last year was that under O'Neill Colback (or whoever was filling his position) would often drop deep to allow space for the centre backs to exploit but then had to force passes, sometimes playing 50/50 balls at best.
If you are playing in an offensive role its not unusual for passing stats to be reduced because you are forcing the play, Andy Reid is a great example of this at this level.
