FB is a specialized position and also an extremely important position which is why I don't want to see Matty Cash at right back, ever.
I like Darikwa for the reasons Gari described above but he needs competition for the shirt so I am hoping for a new right back to arrive so they can fight it out.
On the left side I am content with either Robinson or Riberio. Perhaps the opposition will dictate which one of them plays to a certain extent.

Interesting SD. What do you believe Cash is lacking that will hinder him in becoming an useful FB?
Agree with you regarding the left side. I can definitely see scenarios where Robinson could be the preferred option. At least they will push each other in an attempt to get the jersey.

I think he is lacking tactical awareness in the full back roll. I am not convinced by his tackling, interception skills his positioning and heading ability. Also the need to cover a CB when they have been dragged out of position for whatever reason.

Bang on Sniff. Muric in goal & Cash at RB is a defensive nightmare waiting to happen IMO.
Now Mouch might decide he's going all out to attack, in which case the logic in having an 8-goal right back is there to see, but I personally think Darikwa will get the nod after Mouch has had a bit more time to suss out the squad.
Again, the issue lies with the top brass at the club. The manager shouldn't be this unfamiliar with the side. He's clearly still learning the ropes, and we should either have appointed him in Jan, or when the playoffs were out of reach but we were safe.

Understand. I have always been impressed by Cash's closing down and blocking abilities. I guess it all boils down to how intelligent and adaptable he is on the football field. It will be interesting to see if Sari regards Cash at FB as a long term project or just a short term stop gap while we wait for a new FB to sign in.

Cash is most definitely not the finishing article at FB but the question is if he's able to learn. I'm saying that it could work.

Possibly Gari. My comments were about the here and now and the current starting X1.
With some good coaching and some time Cash may well make a decent career for himself as a full back, I guess time will tell.

Okay Alf you have made your point. You can stop now. You are starting to sound like PSS. It does get a bit boring and a bit repetitive bashing our owners all the time plus it derails perfectly good threads and discussions.
