I really don't mind having Watson around the place.

Good old British pro who gives is all, or do we just want young inexperienced players from abroad?

No one is saying that he is going to play 44 league games!

At times last season he was poor but at other times like at Boro away he was immense.

Players play a huge part off the field too.

I beg to differ, Watson was a yard off the pace and gave the ball away time after time in the many games i saw him last season. Like watching Neil Lennon in a Forest shirt at times.

You clearly weren’t watching him then and the stats don’t back that off.

I saw him play every he played last season. I must be seeing things then.

I remember watching McGovern in his later time at the City ground, and it wasn't nice, the fans could see that his legs were gone and that football had passed him by, Watson reminds me off those times.

Does anyone agree that Watson is handy to have around the squad and dressing room to help the young lads and the young signings from abroad? Also to play the odd game here and there.

 I got no problem with him hanging around playing Connect 4 and Jenga with the younger lads or perhaps taking them out for a few sherbets .
I just hope he doesn't start any games next season.

McGovern was playing in one of the best teams in England and Europe. There’s no comparison.
