The 2019 Summer Clearout
Also gone from the squad. Colback, janko, conclaves, Wague Byram, bonatini

So lots of players out. Quite a number to go.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion - COYR  :)

The two I really want gone are both still here though.

Clough and Cummings  :(

Yep 7 gone permanently from end of last season -

Ward, Henderson, Vellios, Soudani, Tachsidis, Grant, Ansarifard

7 more to go -

Clough, Cummings, Aryibi, Hefele, Bridcutt,  Murphy + 1 GK

Also fully expect Ozzy to go.

Incomings -

RB
Midfielder (certainly if Yacob goes)
2 x strikers

Yes, that looks about right to me Reds73.

I dont get this love in with Coback. Hes slow and our midfield was neither improved nor worse for his presence. We need speed and at least one central midfielder who can go past a player to give us the unpredictability from deeper. To bring Colabck back would be a waste of valuable financial resorces that could be put to far better use.

7 more to go. Wow that really does sum our team up over the years. Still if they don't go now at least we know come next season they won't be here as the contracts are up.

They will be gone ! Vrentzos will make sure.

Cummings, Clough, Aryibi + 1GK on loan.

Murphy, Bridcutt could wellrwxh financial settlement to make them free agents and can then sign for clubs outside of window

Sounds harsh to say it but I cant see why would anyone take a gamble on Cummings after his recent shenanigans. He's going to need paying off IMO.

A bit of a shame that is because he's clearly a decent finisher. No good if he doesn't take the game seriously though.

If the lads got a few issues then fair enough, I hope he can get them sorted, it's none of my business.

But if you're a manager, why gamble your budget, or your job taking on what might be thought of as a 'problem' player on the basis that he'll suddenly be settled and sorted and start banging in goals?

Cummings needs to go back north of the border. Swap deal: send Ariyibi and Cummings to Motherwell for a ball bag.

I could not disagree more haha! Was my vote for player of the season, consistency of performance was my main factor. The amount of stick people give to players for “going missing”. Colback very rarely lowered his level. Yates nowhere near his level yet. I still think we’ll get colback anyway

Totally agree Wassy. He was solid for us in midfield. The games about more than fancy dan passing and silky skills. Every successful team has a midfield rock like Colback.

Don't share your view that he'll be back though. In typical no nonsense style he'll probably dig his heels in and tough his contract out for a year.

Fair enough guys, we are all perfectly entitled to our own opinions but do you see my point about wanting a more mobile midfield? Sure, Colback can do a job and that particular job he does well which is to provide cover for our defense. But these days i feel a defensive midfielder must be able to get around the pitch quickly and offer a little more on the ocassions they do venture forward. Colback in my humble opinion is one dimensional and if he was as good as some of you are suggesting, why isnt he in demand?
