Stop the bitching lads if you want to do that go to the other forum. Non of us really saw this coming, some may not like it some may be celebrating, but we all support the same club.
For what it’s worth as you know I wasn’t MONs biggest fan managerial wise but I was getting behind him, shocked he’s gone but will support the new manager, after all it’s not his fault MONs been sacked. Don’t think it will work but again hope I’m wrong. Mendes had us over last season IMO with some players, he has bigger fish to fry than us so why are we still pandering to him? time will tell (again)

If the snowflakes who don our club shirts every Saturday don't like the harsh treatment dished out by MON and Keano, how would they have reacted to Cloughie managing them? Running through nettles during training? These cry baby mardy arsed wimps would've never have made the team.
Fuming? I haven't started yet!!! :@ :@ :@ :@

Not having a go but there were similar suggestions when Karanka left and people were criticising the manager rather than the player(s).

I know Username, but not from me. Some of the players in this day and age make me sick. They are paid way over the odds for what they do and show very little respect for the club, its hierarchy or its fans. There are the divers and those that pretend they have been hurt so bad you would think they had been shot or summat. It disgusts me, it really does. If I had an issue with my boss and I deliberately reduced my work rate, would my boss get the sack as a result? If my boss was making me work harder to achieve success for my company and I didn't like it, would the company owner sack the boss as a result? No on both counts. I would get the proverbial kick up the arse, told to shut up moaning and to get on with my work or be out the door myself!!
Players these days want to win, just like they always have, but nowadays, they want to win easily rather than to work for the win. They are simulating, trying to get fellow players sent off. They are blatantly urging the referee to show the red card and kick off if he doesn't. The sportsmanship has sadly gone from our game to be replaced by a bunch of egotistical cheats, showoffs, and spoilt cretins who care nothing about anything but themselves.
The way some of these so-called professionals have behaved towards one of the clubs finest ever ambassadors is totally disrespectful, to say the least.
Yet the irony is this. These so called superstars that have forced out both Karanka and O'Neill (and possibly Keane as well) can only dream of the trophies these former managers of ours have accumulated over their careers.

I don’t get what everyone’s problem is here... the players have been back for less than a week and we reported back early this year. We still have a whole pre season ahead and a transfer window. If it is true about there being a panel for transfers then players will already be lined up. The fact that we have a head coach and not a manager suggests that this person will work with what he gets given. And given the fact that we want promotion you would have to expect that we have some quality players in mind. We know that we are a handful of players short of really challenging but maybe we are waiting for movement elsewhere before we can move.
It’s getting far too negative here. Most wanted mon gone he now has. This has been lined up for a few weeks if what I am told is true and there are already wheels in motion for players suited to the new guys preferred style. Again, this is just as I was told. Apparently there is more to it than just players not liking mon or his methods. Results were not good and the style of play was a long way off what was expected. There apparently was a strong belief that we were not going to be challenging for promotion this season. Something had to happen. It is no coincidence that this has all happened after the visit to Greece and prior to the return. It doesn’t sound like a good impression was made whilst out there a few weeks ago.

For everyone blaming the players for both sackings, we don’t know which players, we don’t even know this is the reason the sacking happened, we don’t know what it was that made the players react like this, there’s so much that is speculation and heresay. I’m sure there’s probably truth in things but it’s hard to react properly without proper fact.
However, what we can say for fact is that we’ve sacked another manager, the second this calendar year, without playing a game in over a month. We’re not the only club that sacks managers, most do although we do tend to do it more than most. This one is pretty stupid and the fact it’s a club legend doesn’t help. It was a poor appointment and he made some weird decisions including repeatedly taking on the fans with his selections for no obvious reason. 6 months is too short to fully judge someone.
